Really rude vibe here after ordering tile samples. Robin, the rep I spoke to, called me in April (4/23) to literally say "they're here and ready to pick up when you're ready for them", so I assumed it was a heads up and I could pick it up when I'm back in town. I didn't call them back, because it just sounded like a courtesy call/reminder like I get from any supplier. I wasn't able to get back there until the next month (5/23). When I came in Robin simply said "Oh I threw those out" and seemed annoyed to see me. I assumed as much because she didn't offer to re-order it. No heads up about a limited timeframe to pick it up, no "sorry we don't keep them that long", just a super passive aggressive response. I was so stunned I just said sorry and left. If there was a timeline to pick it up, is it weird to expect that to be communicated?

I asked a rep at my usual store, Redmond, if they'd do the same (since I now have to re-order the samples) and they said "Who answers the phone anymore? We send emails and texts, and even then, we hold samples for clients for much longer than a few weeks." which is in-line with what I expected, since they can leave voicemails or texts and have my email on file if they wanted to communicate a specific timeframe for pick-up. I had tried for several days to find the matching tile for my client to no avail. I then stopped into CFM because a Crossville Rep. Told me about them being in my area.

I no sooner walked into the store and I was happily greeted by Mary Benson, I told her what I was looking for and she told me almost instantly what tile and manufacturer she thought it was, she then had me follow her to a stack of sample books and there it was, I ordered the tile, it arrived in time and I was out of the store in less than 30 minutes. Yes, I will start at CFM next time, I had not even heard of them before but I am so greatful that the Rep. Told me about them, they know their products and will show you the samples if they have them.

I can't wait until my next tile need.

Robin was absolutely marvelous to work with & quickly helped us find the flooring that fit our needs/wishes. After sales service included forwarding a copy of the invoice to an email address that we had established a month after the initial sale.

Finding that I'd measured/calculated 2 boxes short of a complete installation, a quick call to Robin and within minutes I was able to head to the warehouse & pick it up.
