I have been to Goodwill Outlet locations throughout the States. Some are better than others, but it depends on the location, the donations received, AND the day. I prefer this one over the SODO location because itâs less of the...... questionable characters that need help. Anyway, thereâs a lot of comments in reviews here about disorganized stuff and seemingly âuncleanâ bins. Yeah. Thatâs what the Outlets are! If youâre not prepared for âdiggingâ, or what I like to call âtreasure huntingâ for X amount of time, then donât come. If you go to an Outlet expecting to find something very specific, you likely wonât. If you have the heebie jeebies about touching a lot of things that arenât always clean from your closet, then donât come. OR, wear rubber surgical gloves AND a mask, because otherwise outside of mask mandates youâll be breathing in a lot of dust anyway, which I canât believe the years I went without them. Just me though but my lungs are SO much happier... Itâs literally an environment of a free for all that makes it fun and different, and you can actually find some really good stuff if you have the patience and have a good eye. Tags on stuff or gently used, random housewares, vintage clothing that with a few simple sewing machine stitches are as good as new, textiles, etc... you gotta be creative and thrifty! And you wonât pay NEARLY as much as even a regular Goodwill store. You will see regulars who bulk up on whatever their ânicheâ is, some for families some to sell, some just for the âbrowse therapy.â.... and more. Abide by the store rules, listen to the staff and NEVER under ANY circumstances try to touch something in someoneâs cart. Itâs priced by the pound! Cheaper than heck. Thatâs their findings. Luckily, if this type of environment isnât for you, donât criticize and just go to an organized Goodwill store! And leave the big blue bins to those who âget it.â ;) see people Come in regularly looking around like.... what is this.... and leave. If itâs not your thing itâs not your thing and quit leaving negative reviews here because you prefer a different shopping experience. Outlets are different. Thanks for reading my ramble!
Ps: whatever your Goodwill shopping preferences are, at least thatâs better than Value Village/Savers who contribute little to nothing to communities and even announce in their store intercom âshopping here does not directly support any nonprofit..â Goodwill provides excellent job training and education opportunities!(not...
Read moreFun to watch the newly stocked isles open and the people go crazy when they let them dig but thprice r getting way too high and my last visit, the district manager wasn't exactly respetful twards me. He was rude by the tone of his voice occasionally I find a whole mess of glass needs and scoop them and whatever garbage is with them up and buy it all at glass price, since really all I am after is the(glass) bead. Until today I have had no problem ding this but I explained what I had done, and that since all the broken glass and crud was going to b tossed, and that all I wanted was the glass beads I was curious y he wouldn't give me glass price, they were going to throw it in the garbage anyways.dont you think they food will would want to make something off of it instead of paying garbage? He got snotty so I payed for my things and took it directly outside. I ride a bike with a trailer so I park it by the front door, you can see it from the register. The min I was done I took the cart back in and asked if the cashier would tell me how much the garbage would cost and she said that the manager took it to the back and dumped I in the garbage, then I saw him walking back and he said"your back?" And I explained that I never left and asked if he already threw it away. He said yes. I have never seen them take anything away from the counter that fast, that somebody didn't want, and why didn't he wait until I was actually gone to do so! In my opinion he doesn't need to treat his customers so poorly and if it was just going to be garbage why didn't he just let me pay glass price. I included pics of what I did buy which was the same as what...
Read moreI do not like this location. Many of the staff are outright surly, though some are friendly. I keep visiting, hoping for a good experience or a noteworthy bargain. The shop is small, compared to many Goodwill locations. The few good items at good prices are snatched quickly in the day (within an hour of opening). The professional pickers and resellers know this; I've seen them go through the racks and shelves. Also, the toy aisle is regularly ransacked and left unattended for hours. I understand the staff gets busy, but it easily becomes a safety issue; watch your step! Adults donating plasma, next door, leave their kids here while they donate. Many games and puzzles are opened with pieces scattered and missing. Clothes are high priced for their quality, compared to other bargain shops. The bargain shop down the road a mile (V. V.) has similar items at half the price, and usually in better shape... and a wider selection. Most of the furniture is damaged in some way, so examine everything carefully before buying. Also, only donate items in immediately sellable condition. They do very little reconditioning or repair at this location. To summarize: most of what they have won't sell at a yard sale, and they ask too much for it. I wanted to give a better review,...
