Migrating my Yelp review here because I think they truly deserve it.

THIS IS MY NEW NUMBER 1 BOBA SPOT IN WASHINGTON. Coming from Lynnwood/Edmonds area, it's quite a trek at over an hour with traffic. Because we came from so far, we decided we may as well order another drink to try while we're here. Employees joked that they'd see us tomorrow after hearing we came from Lynnwood to try it out, but honestly we were tempted to plan it in our agenda.
If you like the tea flavor in your milk tea, I still lean towards Don't Yell At Me, but otherwise Miss Boba is the best of the best. I'm not even sure if DYAM is near the Kent area but I'm coming from around Seattle and we have some pretty solid contenders for boba. Turns out the real gem is hidden down in Kent in Miss Boba.
Quickly got to typing this review as soon as I got home. Friend and I have been eyeing this place forever for the creme brulee and hyped it up so much we were scared it would disappoint. Well, it didn't. I can even rave about the service here. All the workers are so kind and friendly, asking if it's your first time and describing each drink. Key takeaways: the ube is made with real ube and stir your brown sugar 18 times at least, the more the better.
I'll start with the boba. It's so chewy, maybe I had the freshest batch, but it was amazing. At first I couldn't tell if I liked it because it was too chewy, but I grew to love it especially with the light brown sugar coating which added flavor to each chew. Easily the best brown sugar boba I've had around the state, not comparable to golden boba or crystal boba so won't go there.
House-made Ube Fresh Milk - I grew up with all kinds of taro and ube so I can attest to the genuine, high quality ingredients here. There's actual ube to taste and when you mix the entire drink you get more of a purple milk tea you'd expect from taro or ube. They're different once you get to know the two, but can be confused. Regardless, it's a comfort that Miss Boba does amazingly.
Oreo Cream Puff Milk Tea - it looks super watery at first glance, but we were surprised and loved it! The top layer is a watery milk tea, then there's a unique cheese foam cream puff layering on bottom and Oreos with some sea salt all blended together. It's atypical to the normal Oreo milk teas you might find elsewhere in a great way. The bottom thick layer is a great foundation for the drink.
Brown Sugar Boba Crème Brûlée Fresh Milk - the main attraction. We originally put this on our boba bucket list for only this drink and it's their signature drink. It's a bit pricey ($8 for large) so while we loved it, we would lean towards other drinks in the future which are just as good, though we want to try everything honestly. Anyways, the creme brulee didn't seem to do too much initially other than add a caramely hint to the tea, but I'm unsure now. The brown sugar is amazing, not extremely sweet either and blends well with the milk. At other places, it's too sweet for me or mixes poorly so that you're drinking a sugar milk but here, the blend is perfect (maybe the creme brulee is the reason?) Anyways I highly recommend trying this on a first visit!
The only cons are location and price. Crossing my fingers for a location up north but who knows. Prices are a bit higher than usual, so it's even better for special occasions or to...
Read moreKent is in for a real treat! One of the most authentic premium Taiwanese tea shop has just hit Kent like a sweet storm.
First of, they offer two types of tapioca pearls: one is the regular tapioca and one is their famous brown sugar tapioca, both of which they make on a daily basis and replace twice a day. Other boba shops don’t require their tapiocas to be changed out on a daily basis, a detail that speaks for their freshness and chewiness. They use the premium brown sugar from Taiwan to cook the boba in to make their signature brown sugar boba. Premium brown sugar offers several health benefits by providing people with energy and acting as a tasty flavor enhancer to encourage healthier eating. It can help kids stay nourished. Tapioca is a great topping for those who have a gluten allergy since it’s naturally gluten-free.
Second, they cook their own sugar daily and use organic A2 milk in mixing the drinks. This helps with digestion and ensures that you’re drinking top quality ingredients without exposing your family to chemical contaminants. The owners wants their children and customers to drink organic milk because it has a higher nutritional content, and even more healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and more disease-fighting antioxidants than non-organic milk. The housemade sugar does lessen the sweetness of the drink on a regular sweetener scale, but I tend to drink on the less sweet side anyways so this is perfect. Plus, you can count on housemade sugar health benefits along with an enhanced flavour profile. They also have alternative dairy products like almond milk for those who are lactose intolerant! The owners are very health conscious and considerate.
Last, but not least, the employees all have refreshing smiles and are as beautiful as their drinks. They stand true to their drink quality and ensure their customers get a satisfying experience. I got the Strawberry 🍓 Matcha fresh milk and I was blown away. Doesn’t the drink look extravagant? The strawberry purée is homemade and boy does it taste refreshing! It compliments delightfully with the matcha. Speaking of which, the shop uses the first harvest matcha, which if you are accustomed to Japanese culture, this quality of matcha is normally only available for ceremonial-drinking. This is top notch quality matcha! Many shops cannot or wouldn’t be able to say the same.
The owners came over and talked to me personally asking for my feedback of their drinks. That was very welcoming and I can tell they genuinely care about their customers.

I often bring my friends and family here with me to hang out or study, and we’ve only ever had good things to say. The staff is very knowledgeable and informative about their drinks, and you can tell they really care about their customers. They greet regulars by name, and always ask to make sure everyone is satisfied with their drinks. The interior is also super adorable, decorated with real flowers everywhere and a row of boba plushies in front of the waiting area. It is always clean inside and just has a really welcoming vibe.
The drink quality at this local shop just blows me away with all of the care that goes into choosing such expensive alternatives. They use only real ingredients, most notably fresh strawberries, avocados, ube, and taro! Additionally, the milk used in all of the fresh milk series is A2 milk, which is much more health beneficial than normal milk. The tea is also brewed with real tea leaves instead of tea bags, so you can really taste the strong tea flavor without it being masked by sugar and artificial flavoring.
To please fellow asian hearts, the drinks are not overly sweet either! There is no fructose in any of the drinks, but instead housemade sugar. For reference, I would normally get 30% sweet at places like happy lemon and bobalust, but even then I find the drinks still too sweet, or the sugar they put in is just wrong. I enjoy drinks between 50-100% sweet here, and the staff is consistent with sugar levels as well.
Only things to look out for when coming here are the prices (and an addiction). The prices are on the higher end because of the ingredients they use, but you pay for what you get! Honestly the prices at other places are maybe a dollar less for much more than a dollar in quality drop, so might as well pay for something much more yummy :)
Some of my personal favorites on their menu include the Matcha Brown Sugar Boba Freshmilk, Crema Mango Slush, Lychee Dragonfruit Green Tea, and their new Crema Grape Slush! All of their fruit drinks are so refreshing because they do not use powder flavoring, and all of the matcha drinks are made with ceremonial matcha, so it is hard to find drinks like these anywhere else!
From high quality ingredients to amazing service and environment, this boba shop is uncontested.
