Big Lots in Kent need to refine their online order game. I made an order that took 2 days to fulfill: I ordered it 9/02. Today is 9/04. (I thought it didn't go through, since I never received an authorization email, so I made a second order... which was cancelled 2 minutes after I made it). While some of my order was unavailable, I was never called or made aware of it until I received an email saying the order was ready for pick up, again... 2 days later.
When I went in,Vanessa was helpful in getting the order, but it's obvious that it's the manager that needs to approve the release of the order. Alan, the manager, didn't have his walkie talkie with him, so there was no easy way to call for him (after he had just walked away). She had to leave her station and till to help me get everything and make sure it was all there. Alan walked up at the last minute, as if he was taking care of me. Vanessa did it all, but it felt like he was trying to take the credit, while at the same time, giving her flack for not being at her register to take care of customers (which wouldn't have been an issue, had he been carrying his walkie talkie).
Vanessa gets a 5 out of 5. Alan gets a 1 out of 5. Whomever it took to pull my order 2 days after ordering gets a 2 out of 5. Whomever cancelled my other order without so much as a courtesy call gets a 0 out of 5.
I work for a place that does Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) orders, and our under 2 hour pull time puts your store to shame... and you don't have that many groceries to speak of. Just own up and call the customer if the order can't be completely fulfilled/or...
Read moreI was told that it was closing time and I had to get out when I planned on making a purchase of couches using a coupon that I had for $200 off $800 coupon that expired today. The worker told me and my husband that he had to kick us out and we couldn’t make the purchase and that was what his manager said. I immediately asked for the manager to come to speak with me. When she came she said she would write a note to allow me to use the coupon tomorrow, wrote a note on it and left her contact information for any questions. While it was nice of her to offer to validate the coupon the next day I did not appreciate being treated the way I was and threatened and advise that I could not make my purchase and that I had to leave by the employee. Additionally, when I advise the manager that this had occurred and that was with the member service rep had told me she said she did not do that and that he was lying. However, When she was writing the note to allow me to use the coupon the following day she advised me that she was just going to put it was because I thought they closed at 10 which I did not appreciate her lying and not holding her employee accountable for one either lying about her telling us she was kicking us out or for...
