Silver Superstore — Local services in Kent

I purchased twice from this store, both times for an engraved baby Christmas ornament. The first order in 2016 was great. The second order was about a week ago. The ornament I wanted was not offered with the current years tag. I asked if they could add a tag with the 2018 year on it and they offered to do it for $12 bringing my total to about $44. This was more than I was hoping to spend on the ornament, but was willing to pay a little extra so that both my kids would have the same customized ornament. When it arrived they had sent the ornament with the previous year tag attached and the current year in a bag for me to switch out- which will require using tools. I called to let them know that I expected them to have switched out the tags since I was paying for the service and the woman I spoke to said they don't do that and offered no compansation or assistance in resolving the issue. I expected a high level of customer service for what I payed for the item and was dissapointed. However, the engraving and ornament were nice quality and...

Pros: Aubrey is very pleasant and has wonderful customer service and the owner was very accommodating. The store is clean and well lit, displaying beautifully.

Cons: I was quoted a price and once they heard I needed it by the following day, they held my bible til the day of pick up and called me in attempt to add on additional costs hoping I’d budge in a vulnerable situation, knowing they committed to the timeline of that day. I did not so they honored the price they originally quoted me.

More importantly, when I picked up the engraved piece, the font was so tiny, I could barely see it. I was promised black engraving and it was returned as same color engraving. I’m not sure who does the day time engraving there but I wished it was someone more skilled in the trade.

I was considering getting my aunts Christmas gift (engraved silverware) from there but after this experience, I will not.

This was my first experience with Silver Superstore and it was excellent! I placed my order online, late on a Tuesday night, the order was immediately confirmed, then re-confirmed with a "Thank You" email Wednesday morning informing me the order would be shipped the following day. On Thursday, as promised, I received an email confirming the shipment along with my tracking number. I had opted for the free shipping, which on this order was USPS from Kent, WA to Sarasota, FL...you can't get much further apart in the Continental US. The US Post Office showed delivery to be Monday, but my Oneida stainless was here on Saturday morning, two days after it was shipped!!! Everything was in the manufacturer's packaging, all 66 pieces accounted for. The price I paid was excellent, all steps in the transaction were confirmed as they happened and I had my stainless sooner than expected. I couldn't ask for any...
