Masthi Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Renton

On my way home three Saturday's ago from Kent during lunchtime I saw the restaurant "Craving Thai!" There were cars parked in front of the restaurant, but there was adequate parking for myself! I entered the restaurant and was greeted by the Thai chef! He said to my friend and I to sit anywhere we want. We decided to sit in a booth. The place looks extremely clean, and it was decorated quite well! The menu was outstanding, and there are so many choices to make! I asked him if there was a daily special, and he said, "yes everything!" We placed our order and in no time the owner served us our lunch! The stir-fry was the best Thai food I have ever eaten! It was cooked to perfection. Also, the portion was very good as well! The service, the ambulance of the restaurant, the cleanliness and the employees are first class! Since my first visit three weeks ago, I went back three times, twice for a to go order (which took no time) and another time eating the food in the restaurant! Anna's service was exquisit! She came back twice to make sure we had enough water and again to see if there is anything else needed! Ratta and Anna take real pride in the restaurant and both individuals are outstanding people! I told three friends about the "Craving Thai" restaurant. One individual decided to go and try the restaurant, and was amazed! The restaurant, the owner, and the cleanliness are second to none! Update 5/15/2023: Had to drop a star. Nearly all ingredients were good quality and flavorful, except for the chicken. It's a $1 upcharge for chicken and both dishes we had today almost all of the chicken was dry and rather tough. Didn't eat all the chicken, picked a lot of it out and took the rest of the dishes home for leftovers. This is really my only complaint. The spring rolls were excellent and wonderfully paired with a warm peanut dipping sauce.

I am not from nor have I ever been to Thailand. So I couldn't speak to the authenticity of the food from this restaurant. However, I have eaten at many Thai restaurants before. And I can tell you that the food that I got from Craving Thai was very good. The staff gave a friendly greeting as I entered the establishment. Service was prompt and pleasant. Food came out fast and hot. The Pad See Ew came out well sauced and included carrots and broccoli and egg. I got mine with chicken as well. Asked for 3 stars of heat and it was spot on. Had a decent plate of leftovets to take home. If I had to nit pick, the chicken could have been a little better quality and tenderness. But overall, just a very satisfying...

Edit: Recently went again after not having gone for a year or so. The service and food were just as good as I remember! I went with my sister and we ordered a variety of food and shared it family style.

We got an order of the chicken karaage, pad thai, and chicken larb. All of the food was delicious. Especially the karaage. It was juicy, crispy and tasted great even without the dipping sauce. Even ended up doing an order of panang curry for takeout which was also fantastic.

I will definitely be making an effort to stop by more frequently.
