Hi,I am a STYLIST here inside of Salon Upscale, I have had my License since 1982, I have been working with bonding glue, and bonding remover a very long time. As to address NINA MOORE'S COMMENTS/ REVIEW ,CONCERNING HER MOTHER MS WANDA, OF SELADO PLUMBING SERVICE. ...MS WANDA AND HER DAUGHTER CAME INTO SALON UPSCALE REQUESTING A SEW IN WEAVE! I WAS HAPPY TO PERFORM SERVICE REQUESTED. BUT UNFORTUNATELY MS WANDA'S HAIR WAS VERY THIN, DUE TO CANCER/ RADIATION..YEARS AGO...I was sorry to hear that.... THEY STATED THAT MS WANDA WAS GOING ON A CRUISE AND NEEDED HAIR, BADLY!!; THEY BOUGHT SYNTHETIC HAIR, HUMAN HAIR WAS EXPENSIVE FOR THEM TO BUY. I EDUCATED/ CUT/ STYLED WHILE MS WANDA AND HER DAUGHTER WATCHING THE WHOLE PROCESS AS WELL....END RESULT THEY BOTH WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY!!. BECAUSE I'VE JUST STARTED INSIDE SALON UPSCALE.." MS AJ" I DIDN'T HAVE PERSONAL CARDS YET. MS WANDA EXCLAIMED..AJ YOU ARE TO GOOD NOT TO HAVE CARDS. SO YOU BETTER HURRY UP AND GET THEM! ( quote..unquote) MS WANDA TIPPED ME. HUGGED ME. MADE A FOLLOW UP APPT. FOR 1 WEEK TO HAVE HAIR REMOVED PROPERLY WITH BOND REMOVER. FREE DEEP CONDITION. AND HAIR PLACEMENT AND STYLED AGAIN! HOWEVER. HER DAUGHTERS DID NOT BRING MS WANDA TO SALON, INSTEAD WASHED HER HAIR AT HOME WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS THEN CALLED ME TO SCHEDULE AN APP ALSO SECOND NO CALL/ NO SHOW . PRIOR MS WANDA CALLED SALON. STATING TO ME THAT SHE HAD A EKG APPT. AT 4PM. I SAID TO HER. COME ON IN SO THAT I COULD " SHAMPOO" GLUE OUT. after her daughter Nina Moore had failed. MS WANDA NEVER CAME TO SALON . I DO APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MIS UNDERSTANDING. AFTER READING NINA MOORE'S REVIEW, I CALLED TO THEM WITH GREAT CONCERN, OFFERING A FULL REFUND OF $100 THE COST FOR THE QUICK WEAVE INSTALLATION. I HAVE NOT GOTTON A PROFESSIONAL RESPONSE FROM NINA MOORE. OR MS WANDA. ON A PERSONAL NOTE: MY GOD IS A GOOD GOD, HE GIVES HIS HARDEST TASK TO HIS STRONGEST SOLDIERS. I AM A WARRIOR! Read moreFeb'15-BEST SEW-IN WEAVE & PLAN TO TRAVEL FROM STATE-TO-STATE JUST FOR MIMI TO DO MY SEW-IN's: I am from Las Vegas and wanted to get a sew-in during my 3 week stay in Killeen, TX. I researched salons prior to my trip and I am telling you, I am very selective with who does my hair and the overall results. For me, presentation is everything and this salon's advertisements were very professional, very classy and said all the write things; such as, the importance of hair care. The owner, MiMi, flat-ironed my hair, beautifully. But, before she flat-ironed my hair, she expressed concern about my ends, educated me on the importance of having healthy ends and trimmed them. 2nd, Great sign that I was at the RIGHT salon. 2 weeks later, she completed my sew-in and when I say it IS THE BEST SEW-IN WEAVE, I HAVE EVER HAD. When I returned back to LV, EVERYONE said "If I didn't know you, I would have thought that was your hair." I NEVER received that compliment... I guess I really didn't know what a GREAT sew-in looked like, until MiMi installed mine. I am making plans to travel to see MiMi at least 3 times a year, JUST TO GET MY WEAVES DONE. I am so Blessed that I found her- MiMi, I Thank God for the talent he gave you/that I am able to benefit from it.
UPDATE 01/10/16: Yes, it's me again...I am still traveling from state-to-state for MiMi to do my extensions (sew-in's). She did my extensions all year last year (2015) & I plan for her to continue this year (2016)...She just completed another sew-in on 12/31/15 (4th sew-in). I am Blessed to have found someone that is very talented with installing sew-in's with perfection and I WILL NOT allow anyone else to do my hair....MiMi is absolutely the BEST. In addition, she has growing hands, my hair is growing faster than ever, it's healthier than ever and thicker than ever...You go MiMi :) - I'll see...
Read moreSalon owner MiMi was EXTREMELY RUDE, NASTY and UNPROFESSIONAL in her behavior towards me. She canceled our appointment at the last minute by text, and then called my personal cell phone to argue with me about her decision to cancel, stating that she had sent me a detailed text. I have NEVER had a beautician call my personal line to ARGUE with me about the fact that she dropped the ball at the last minute. When I told her that another stylist was going to take care of my hair, she told the stylist not to do my hair. MiMi then threatened to call the police on me. I suppose she was angry with the fact that I had exercised my right to get someone else in her shop to do my hair. The owner MiMi was VERY disrespectful and unprofessional, and attempted to intimidate me. However, I knew I had done nothing wrong in checking to see if someone else at her shop could do my hair. In addition, if MiMi could take the time to call my PERSONAL line and argue with me, she certainly could’ve taken the time to give me a courtesy call about canceling my appointment at the last minute. However, all she said kept saying was that she had left me a detailed text canceling the appointment. I have NEVER in all my years had such a TERRIBLE experience with a so-called “professional beautician.” There was nothing upscale about her shop. Even the inside of the shop is minimal at best.
