I liked this place out when they first opened and loved it. Now..every single time i go i find merch way over the expiration date..and please dont say.."just let someone know and they will take it off the shelf" because they don't! Also. I went in there today and bought some things..2 days ago I bought a bag of goldfish for $1.99. And yes almost expired but still were ok. So I went back today and picked up a few things along with another bag of goldfish for $1.99. I was about to cashier out and stick my debit card in the reader when I noticed I was just charged $5.99 for that same bag of gold fish!!! Id never pay that! Especially there. So the cashier calls over the manager and acts like shes now doing "me" a favor. "Oh go ahead and give them to her for $1.99" she says. Lol. Yes well that is the price lady!! And then she goes on to say...trying to now justify this price hike i was almost charged for..and says.."the register is just putting in the regular price for them is all" Oh I see..is that why when I get home and look on the package is says the regular price is $4.79!! So where did $5.99 come from??!! WATCH THEM PRICES AT THE REFISTER PEOPLE!! This isn't the first time I've been over charged. Tho never for that much! And watch them expiration dates to. This is no longer one of my favorite stores. :( UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW AND RESPONSE FROM STORE.Did you not read what I wrote? I did bring it to the cashiers attention(obviously)she then called the manager iver..manager then told me it was ringing up for full price. Which was a lie. The full price was actually $4.79! She was making excuses. This is not the first time I've been overcharged. I just happened to catch it. And not the first time I've caught expired food either. Your store needs to do better. I am done...
Read moreThis particular location is terrible. I usually go to the one in Johnson city, but happened to be near this one a couple days ago so I went by. Never again. Most of the items they have don’t actually have a price tag or label on the shelf they came from, the ones that do are misleading, and I believe I was overcharged for most of my purchases. Frankly, I was just too exhausted from the past week to bother making it into a Thing. The selection here also appears to be a larger ratio of non-“outlet” items, and just regular ole full price items you’d find anywhere. Obviously you’d have to stock some of this stuff to make sure you have the staples… but this was far more than the Johnson city location. Based on my experiences at the JC store, and the prices POSTED for some items - for example, 3 brands of jar garlic were on a shelf with a sign saying $1.19 but none has prices on them so the one I selected rang up to almost $4 - I had expected my bill to be around $40-50. It came out to about $73. I would have been better off doing my shopping at aldi or even Walmart, honestly. Will not...
Read moreStaff is rude. We had to take multiple items back for being WELL out of date (July 2025 in October 2025) and was told by the cashier they are allowed to sell food up to FOUR MONTHS out of date. Why would I pay almost Walmart prices for expired food? None of the employees act like they want to be there. I will never be back.
edited to add: Since they want to single my review out to “educate me” vs the several other reviews saying the same exact thing, I will repeat what I said originally- If I want to pay WALMART PRICES I don’t expect the food to be SEVERAL months out of date. The reason I checked the date on the food is because upon opening the sealed packages you could SEE that the food was not fresh. If I’m paying almost 3$ for a box of macaroni or cake mix it should be in date, period. I will not shop in this store ever again because you claim to have such great pricing but you’re just selling expired food at market prices when I can just go to one of the THREE Walmarts within a 5 mile radius and pay the same thing for food that’s not expired....
