I had come in to get my tongue pierced and when I had asked the piercer to double check my anatomy she raised her voice at me and told me she wouldnāt be piercing it if she thought something would go wrong. Telling me that she knew how to do her job. The swelling got to a point that I could barely close my mouth or drink water. When I went to another shop for a second opinion they told me that she had nearly gone through a vein due to my web being pierced through . They then had to take it out because it had partially cut off blood flow to part of my tongue. They then proceeded to have to pull dead tissue off of my tongue and had told me they could tell that I had taken the necessary steps to take care of it. They told me that the level of inflammation was not normal and that it was good that I got it taken out when I did. The piercer that looked at it said that he could feel that due to my web being pierced my muscle was completely swollen and my tongue was essentially pinned inside of my mouth. Then when I went back into 2 ton simply to let them know how their piercer had acted and what had happened I was immediately met with an incredibly defensive response. The woman at the counter was incredibly inconsiderate and dismissive. She continued to interrupt me and try to tell me that not being able to close my mouth was normal when everyone I had spoken to and everything I had read contradicted her. She raised her voice and defended the piercer telling me that she knew she wouldnāt have done it if she wasnāt confident. She then proceeded to blame me for not getting a longer bar, or saying that it was because of my blood pressure. Saying that I was probably messing with it. Also saying it could be āsome weird body thingā All she offered to do was redo it once it healed. I have several piercings from this shop that all healed perfectly. 2 ton has been my go to however after this experience I will not be returning. Iām incredibly disappointed and frustrated at this experience. I did not go back into the shop looking for confrontation, I simply wanted to avoid this happening to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here by word of mouth only. I checked online and everyone has good along with bad reviews. This one seemed to have decent reviews and the word of mouth review was what convinced me to go there rather than travel all the way to Asheville. I talked to Kierra (I hope that's how you spell her name) on the phone the night before I went and she was wonderful with all my questions and very nice. Being a female myself who is afraid of needles, this was a welcoming conversation for me who was already too intimidated to go to another place locally. I went in the next day with a friend and Kierra was very nice and allowed my friend to stand on the side where she could hold my hand. This was a very accommodating place and my piercer was super patient with me when I was hesitant to continue with the second piercing. She never rushed me. She kept a calm tone the whole time and made the atmosphere lighter. She answered all of my questions, was quite informative, and I'm pleased enough to bring my daughter here for her navel piercing. The only thing I would say is to ask a TON of questions and then also watch videos or read articles online to make sure not to forget about the cleaning process afterward. I learned a few more things by doing this as to how to keep it clean, etc. and I was a bit distracted at the time of the piercing to retain it all. And, most of all, I'm so glad I didn't have to drive all the way to Asheville to find a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I both feel super lucky to have found 2ton. It's affordable, kind artists/piercers/staff, very clean, and they have fun promotions for holidays and a 'You Get What You Get' machine. I got multiple piercings (face and body) that are all healing wonderfully. Emma did all of them and made sure to talk me through everything even though I'm more metal than human at this point. My partner and I got coordinating tattoos and 2ton was very helpful, gave us a good estimate, and proceeded to help keep my partner conscious once the needle came out š Larry was great about answering questions and K. Holt (didn't catch her first name) was incredible as well. Their aftercare products are also great, though I would personally say the big tube of After Ink is a bit pricey (personal opinion, but they sell small packets so it's not your only option either!). The H2O piercing aftercare spray is my favorite I've ever tried! If you're looking to get something permanent on your body, this is a pretty good place to do it. They're more than fair on pricing and everyone I've met in there has been infinitely patient and kind. 10/10, probably going to get...
