I greatly appreciate Steve meeting me at the front door giving me some advice walking me through the beds he was very patient with myself and my twins, and he definitely helps me out he helped me find the beds that I needed then not stand to go with it the mattresses the box springs beyond helpful and I am very eager for them to get here this Tuesday! But Steve was very kind and I've never met a more helpful person and patient but he definitely did he greeted us at the door and was more than happy to help us that's why we left there with two twin beds did not stand two brand new mattresses into box springs. They are beyond helpful I'll have to wait to upload a picture until the beds gets here, I also 3 years ago bought a sectional couch from them that was suede, I got a great deal because of course they have the discount part downstairs ,but they also try their best to make it somewhat affordable in a way to where it's easy to manage and they don't pressure you so that's even better,,they also on some items they have monthly payment arrangements which comes in handy!!! So I would highly recommend checking it out they also have a carousel for those like myself that has twin toddlers that are all over the place you put 50 cents in and of course the kids can ride that while you're filling stuff out momentarily or while you're trying to speak with the sales agent.. Steve was great and I'm not joking when I state my twins are normally all over the place! And the gentleman Steve who helped us he was beyond kind and greatly helpful! 🙂 The woman that helped me with my couch 3 years ago she was beyond kind and very helpful as well! 😊 So I would definitely recommend Grand home furnishings on Stone drive in Kingsport Tennessee. if you're looking for something that you want a warranty on if you got kids definitely recommend it, as well as affordable managing price to where you can make monthly payments towards it on some items ,and it's all beautiful by the way, very beautiful, and they have something for everybody's taste if they don't have it in the store they are more than happy to look to see what's in the warehouse.. Read moreI went there a year ago looking for a new mattress. I have a bad back and sleeping was a nightmare. The "salesperson " Judy, (Judith) oh you need an adjustable bed. They're great for bad backs! I'm getting this one from -----. (Think it was a Sealy, it was with the Temper's. I started withit andhad to have it changed to a Beauty Rest black in a few days). A year later my mri is drastically changed for the worse and the doctors have told me NOT to sit or lay in an adjustable bed with the head up at all! I didn't even tell them that I had an adjustable bed. Now I'm not one to sit in bed to watch TV, read, etc. There's not even a TV in my bedroom. Bed is for sleeping in. Judy pushed this thing as great for bad backs. Judy pushed a lot of things. I'm pretty sure her only goal at the end of each sale is getting closer to hearing the $10,000 sales bell rung. I don't even have the head raised much to sleep and now doctors are telling me not to raise it at all! My whole lumbar area is a mess- herniated discs into protective area around spinal cord, bulging and slipped discs, all pinching nerves. Those things just previously mentioned weren't in my mri last year before I purchased an adjustable bed. They are in this year's mri. DONT BUY AN ADJUSTABLE BED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF SOME CHEAP SALES PERSON (JUDY) ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING MANUFACTURER SALES POINTS AND HEARING THE $10K SALES BELL! Unless you want to hear a specialist tell you NOT to sit or sleep in it with the head raised. What a waste. I wish I was a person who believed in suing people left and right. Why are adjustable beds bad for your back? If you used them in raised positions, even slightly (the Temper one even has a sleep mode which is slightly raised while you sleep) they put pressure on your spine, the disc facets, etc. Instead of being straight out prone receiving pressure on all parts of your spine you are putting pressure on particular areas of your spine that allow force on pressure points in your spine while you sleep in the area of the actual raise in the mattress. I told her I was a side sleeper but I change positions throughout the night due to pain. Read moreI have shopped at Grand for many years. While I dont spend a great amount of money I am a repeat customer. I recently made a purchase with salesman Chris Spurlock. I have made previous purchases with Chris and from past dealings I knew I should have ask for someone else. However Chris was the person who handed me a coke. I would have said "greeted me" but that would be an overstatement. Chris has the same demeanor as on previous instances. Chris is impersonal and has no personality and is pushy. He acted as if I was a nuisance to him and that he could care less if I made a purchase. He was not informative nor did he seem knowledgeable. He acted as if he just wanted to get his time helping me over with. We were on the opposite side of the store from the office. Once he completed my ticket he said we needed to go to the office. He took of at what seemed like a sprint and reached the office well ahead of me. He uncaringly explained the paper work and then walked off. Didnt say thank you, come again, kiss my foot or anything. I then needed to make a return trip back due to damage to my purchase and also make an additional purchase. I have known sales person Melissa Weatherly for many years. I should have asked for her on my previous visit but made certain to on my return. Melissa was exceptional. She was patient, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She is an asset to Grand for certain. My return visit was pleasant and rewarding. Melissa completed my ticket walked with me to the office and thoroughly explained the process that would transpire with my damaged item and my additional purchase. Melissa was very accommodating and thanked me for my business. I will return to Grand for future purchases but only because of Melissa and her professional service.
