The experience was horrible, I bought a Christmas tree for 50% off on December 28th! When I got home my husband said the size is too big, the tree was NEVER opened and I went to return it or exchange it for another one and they have a rude policy about returning Christmas things after December 25th, they were going to return only half of what I had paid!!! Although it's crazy, I was open to understanding this policy, but I needed an explanation. I was losing my money, I felt robbed! and they never mentioned when I was purchasing it. The cashier was emphasizing the situation but the manager comes and steps on me like he was trying to take advantage or return something used, he didn't even let me explain, he could see that the tree box was never opened and he was very rude and let me talking to myself even when I told him I wanted to make a suggestion about this policy and that cashiers should say it at the time of purchase or put it in an ad. This manager is a racist person and he made me very angry. I can't believe he is a manager with that little education and training with customers, he is so rude and unintelligent! He didn't know how to handle the situation and humiliated me with his attitude! I don't remember if his name was Richard but it was the worst experience in a store! He did not ask to see the purchase receipt, he did not look for options or solutions, he was not polite and told me that this was the company's policy and that's it! A lot of merchandise to choose from. We went in to buy wall dacor and found many different types of artistic views to choose from! We found multiple items that we liked some of them had a little bit of an outrageous price on them but everything seemed to have a sales price on top of it which was great when we got to the checkout counter! It was much less than what we anticipated which was very nice so we had some extra money in our pockets when we left which we were very excited about. There are multiple items to choose from everything from Kitchen to living room to whatever really that you're looking for. Things were kind of scattered everywhere and pricing was hard to determine as I said when we had checked out it was much less than what we anticipated so I wasn't really sure about that but the multitude of items was overwhelming. If you're going to go in be prepared to spend some time really exploring all the items that they have. We have a truck which worked out well we were able to carry all our large wall hangings that we bought so we were excited about being able to purchase those items! I would recommend this store to anyone who's first starting out or just wants to add items to your home they have furniture, wall hangings, kitchen items, vases of all shapes and sizes, and most items that you would find to finish your home with decor! I had a house warming and a friend gave me a huge mirror from At Home but it was chipped. My friend paid for it cash. As it was an even exchange I thought it should not be a problem. I was told by Manager Willie at the Kissimmee Location that the price tag had to be attached to the item (untrue as it was attached to the box), that they have not sold that mirror in the Kissimmee location in weeks and the store could no longer accept it as they will lose money having to sell it at 50% off because of the damage. Obviously my friend purchased it damaged already and unable to see it because of the complexity of the wrapping itself. Unable to prove the location because it was cash transaction yet he did not have a problem replying that it was not his problem that the lady chose to pay for it in cash. I had to purchase the same item myself and then return the damage one with the receipt. Poor customer service. He misrepresented himself and At Home for telling me he was the store manager and he is only the CSS.
