Very bad experience, entering was where it started, manager looks like she was having a bad day already, attitude was very obnoxiously rude, gave my family a hard time with using a coupon, then going to eat, fish was cold, meatloaf tasted like blood, rice was very nasty and uncooked, pizza was stale, i was only able to eat the mac m cheese and a thigh of fried chicken. The only nice person we had was the blonde haired spanish waitress who attended to us, Leaving this place was an embarrasment to my family. Prior to us leaving we had gotten take out bowls, the manager herself once again was the one to hand it to us, NEVER NOT ONCE, did she mention everything you put in it was 7.99 per lb. So as we exited she screamed at an UNECESSARY HIGH TONE. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL "EXCUSE ME THOSE PLATES ARE 7.99 PER LB WHERE ARE YOU GOING !! . Simply walking up toward us was all she had to do and indentify the situation in a different matter. We had people starring at us because of how loud she was. At the end of the dispute she threw the food out in front of us at such an angry manner. I really dont know how this lady has been working there for "25 years" how she says, because a person with customer service like that should never ever be promoted to be a manager nor even last that long with a company. I'm sorry on my families behalf to Golden Corral but that woman does not represent your company well at all. Last night my family wanted to eat there after nearly talking about it for a few days to celebrate my aunts birthday, on top of the fact that we do visit often, but that was a complete most utter waste of money on top of the issue my grandmother of 61 got for wanting to get a senior meal, and as well as my aunt getting her FREE birthday meal. That blonde lady "manager" was rude from the jump of us entering. I wish i got her name so i could right it in this post. The lady waitress was a great example of customer service and nor did i get her name but she was very nice and attentive to her tables. Hopefully this review actually gets reviewed and considered by coorperate professionals that know what is expected in the customer...
Read moreThis is an all you can eat style buffet. In January 2025 the prices are $18 per adult, $12 for 9-12 year olds, $11 for 4-8 year olds and 3 and unders eat free. The prices are reasonable for the range and quality of food available.
You can have steak cooked for you at your desired style. I had medium which was a good standard. My son is currently 'bulking' and was happy with his four plates of dinner. The overwhelming positive about this place is the variety of foods and desserts available, especially if you have a big appetite. Parking is easy.
The not so positives; The atmosphere - it reminds me of a kids party and I'm wanted to get out after eating. There is little character to the interior. Standard wooden chairs and tables. The floor is quite messy with the various bits of food that have been spilled. The service - we were told that soft drinks weren't included in the price, so we opted for a couple of bottles of beer and a kids apple juice. One of the kids did choose a coke. On paying the bill, it turns out the coke was included. If we had known this, we wouldn't have purchased the beers and apple juice. We are English and the person who welcomed us seemed to have a hard time understanding us. They weren't particularly polite either.
Overall, the experience was 'ok' and we may well visit in the future, only if we are feeling incredibly hungry and don't care too much about having a nice evening out.
If you've not been to this type of restaurant before, and want to experience an American all you can eat buffet, I'd suggest giving it a go with the caveat that the atmosphere and service might...
Read moreWhen we 1st arrived, it took a bit before our waitress came to our table, but when she finally did, she was very helpful, and she made 2 of our kids homemade chocolate milk, which was so great. Thank you ma'am that was so generous of you to go out of your way for our kids.
This is a great golden corral. They gave my husband a huge steak vs. the tiny cuts most golden corrals serve. They were always on top of refilling the food it's very clean and everyone was so friendly. I wish we had this golden corral locally. I'd go all the time!
(I want to address something g I saw in another review.) Our oldest son is autistic and he had plenty of food and loved everything they made here at golden corral they do not discriminate agaisnt anyone (as another reviewer had stated) that lady was clearly bitter that she couldn't bring outside food for her son to eat while she dined on golden corral. I highly recommend that the lady take her son to the buffet and let him pick and choose what he wants to try. Don't limit your child and blame others for you not following the rules. Most restaurants don't allow outside food and drinks. I believe it's even posted.
Anyways, if you are in or around the Orlando area and you love buffets or want a good restaurant to feed your family for an affordable price, I highly recommend this golden corral and ONLY this...
