I really do hope the owner reads this. I used to buy goods here, when it was originally restore (Habitat for Humanities). I went in there and was horrified with what I was. I truly do believe that if it continues in this pace. This business will not see another 5 years. Because eventually people do, get tired of seeing the same mess. So many things badly top piled. It's literally a Hazard. I don't know how it passes inspection. Furniture on top of Furniture. That at this point it is so bad that it is already damaging the overly expensive furniture. I can't even begin to know how the employees are getting paid from the thrift store that isn't moving items due to it being overly price. Items from the 90s sold at 400 to 500 dollars. In a neighborhood as this one which is not the best. Many items here are price almost the same as retail, just a few dollars of a difference but with no warranty. Just not wroth it. Buy Craigslist, buy market place, buy anywhere else if your intention is to buy affordable. I also understand that they donate to schools. But the truly needed on the outskirts of this store. Isn't getting any used furniture at a price they can afford. I hope this can be read as constructive criticism only. Also, stop purchasing furniture on a weekly basis or daily even. Get rid of what you have first. If you come across collectors items hold and sell on the internet....
Read moreCalled them up to pickup a 35 year old children's bedroom set in very good condition. They only gave a date but no time as to when they would come by so I waited until around 1 for them to show which wasn't too bad. When they got here, the guy who.came to the door didn't have a mask and took one look at the furniture and said he had to get his manager. The manager came in without a mask stood 2 feet from me, again no mask, and said that they could not take the furniture because there were a few scratches. It was 35 year old children's furniture, of course it has some scratches!!! It would have been very easy to refurbish but they are just too lazy. They also have no concern for health as the only one of the 3 wearing a mask stayed 15nfeet away from me. The "manager" and other non mask wearing person came inside and crowded me while complaining that the solid wood, dove tail furniture from the 70s was no good because there were a few scratches. Save your time and donate...
Read moreI have donated to Salvation Army consistently and decided to try these people because of what they claimed they stood for - wrong!! The truck driver Jimmy was the most uncouth and selfish person and I hope he is not representative of the organization. Had I known, I would not have given these people the time of day.
They represent that the items would be donated, but they are just an upstart Goodwill Industries - stick with the...
