Besides this, the bulk of your deals will be final sale furniture, which seems to be primarily floor models, returns, or damaged items. Damage varies greatly, from a few tiny chips to major finish damage and missing parts. Pieces are priced accordingly and are marked down 10% each week they remain on the floor. I've been shopping at this Crate and Barrel location since it opened and over the course of the last decade I've spent tens of thousands of dollars. I chose a rug that was rolled up on a shelf and as I was walking towards the register one of the older associates asked me loudly "Did you already pay for that rug?". I had previously informed TWO of the associates at the counter that I was on my way to retrieve the rug. I am a person of color and have no doubt in my mind that her lack of tact was racially motivated. I understand it has become increasingly hard for companies to find the best and brightest employees but I still expect more in 2022.

I contacted customer service minutes after ordering due to someone else taking the item in a baby registry. It was available when I clicked on it and not available by the time I checked out and went back to site to claim it. I reached out to crate and barrel and 3 hours and 3 minutes later they told me to wait 2 days before they would contact me again. I’m assuming they’re waiting two day so they can ship it and then try to charge me shipping costs and any return fees associated with it. What a scam!
