I recently moved into this apartment complex. Prior to moving in, I toured several apartments with Janet and Faith. During my tour, I saw several cleaning issues to include hair in the refrigerator and other stains, dirty floors and a piece of hard blue plastic melted on the oven shelf. I even saw cracked ceilings/walls. I asked if the apartment I chose could be re-cleaned and the cracks in the ceiling/walls fixed. I was told “of course.” When I attempted to move in, I was introduced to yet another problem, the water had a terrible odor. I ran the water for about 30 minutes to see if the odor would go away but it didn’t. Instead the water odor became worse. I called and spoke with Faith and she stated that the apartment had been vacant since August and I should just run the water for a while. I was extremely disappointed because I was attempting to clean the apartment that wasn’t cleaned prior to me moving in. The apartment was NOT move-in ready and the water was NOT accessible to me at that time. I could not take a shower, wash clothes or cook. I then went and explained my concerns to Keli, the manager and stated that I should not have to do their jobs! I was not going to take off work to run water in my new apartment to clear out an odor. This should have been done for a move-in ready apartment. I requested that my lease be adjusted and reflected to the date that I actually moved in but Kelli was unwilling to do what was obviously the right thing to do. Faith put in a maintenance requested for the water to be ran out of the tank but who do they think will pay the water bill for that? No, not me. I have since called the corporate office but have not received any returned call. Thus, I will escalate this matter to the next chain of command and will definitely file a complaint with the apartment housing authority if necessary. I’m hopeful that going forward the associates at Parkstone at Knightdale will value honesty and integrity. And that the corporate office representatives will conclude that residence calls should...
Read moreI moved here October 2023, by November, I knew that I would not be extending my lease and even contemplated breaking the lease. (I still am to be completely honest) We had a drug dealer living across from us with people in and out at all hours of the day and night. Thankfully, they were evicted last month. My next door neighbor is apparently running their own hair salon out of their apartment. So there’s still continuous traffic coming in and out of their apartment. They also must be half deaf (I can only assume). TV and music is always on full blast and unfortunately the walls are very thin as it is. Everyone lets their front door slam, so not only can you hear it but you can feel it through the walls. They send emails about food trucks coming to the neighborhood then it always gets cancelled. They advertised a Halloween trunk or treat for the kids and had one employee riding around on a golf cart. The employee was even confused about the event and said no one else showed up. Then early this morning, after Super Bowl Sunday, they finally decided to tow vehicles. I do not feel comfortable advertising on my car where I live and it appeared they did not reinforce it based on everyone parking freely wherever they please. My vehicle was towed this morning but the broken down car with a flat tire that’s been taking up a spot since the day I moved in for 4 months now got to stay. To summarize my review, the apartment itself is decent but this is not a community I personally want to...
