JTV — Local services in Knoxville

I have had 3 recent purchases where the item shown/modeled on the jtv televised presentation did not meet expectations. All 3 instances the stones/pearl/medallion were significantly smaller than shown. I did not note measurements of the medallion so I will take responsibility for not looking it up online. The black spinel stones looked to be 3-4 mm on the stationary necklace I purchased not the 1-2mm stones I received. I barely recognized the necklace as what was showcased on Misty’s show. The pearl earrings I purchased that Jen raved about the size (10mm-11mm) and captivating colors it could come in being from their Genesis collection of Lavender/maroon ish/opalescent brown pearls. They appeared to be uniform either round or pear shaped attached to a silver round hoop that appeared to be the size of a nickel & round. That is not what I received. The pearls were dull, not 10-11mm; more like 7-8mm and very misshapen. They looked like the bottom of the barrel. I the hoops were small oblong shaped; not round as shown . . I noted the earrings were $5 less expensive just 2 days after I placed my online order. That $5 could have paid for delivery….I know I am not the only one who has received merchandise that was substantially smaller than what was stated online OR televised on your shows. There should be a disclaimer stating that items are smaller than they appear on tv. Period. Otherwise this is a bait /switch /fraud that the AG needs to investigate. The items I speak of are not high end even at a local jewelry store. Spending $50 on a pair of cultured pearl earrings is really ridiculous when I could go to a big box store like kohls and get them for half that. Your specialty is jewelry; it’s beginning to appear to be costume/low quality goods; not the higher quality I expect from a specialty retailer. So the black spinel necklace & pearl earrings are going back. I forgot I purchased some pearl post earrings in December that I intended to return because of a huge gash in one; my dog actually thought it was a treat & I caught him crunching on it …… fortunately it was the earring with the big flaw(I know pearls can be flawed but this actually had an open area). It’s sad. I am truly dissatisfied & disappointed that JTV doesn’t monitor the quality of goods they send out. I read the reviews; I want to be the one to write a 5 star review; however , I don’t feel like investing in items then going through the rigamarole to return items after paying...

Extremely disappointed! Bait and switch with no quality control.

I purchased 2 rings from JTV late Oct for Christmas gifts in 2024. JTV's # of the item is DOCX256. Both had dead stones and if you've even had a Rainbow Moonstone item hopefully you received the vibrant colors. I called, was told I could return them free of charge for an exchange. The 2nd shipment of these rings proved again, disappointing. One ring had the nice colors, the other was again, a dead, dead, stone soooo, once again I called and was told to send that back free of charge of course, for an exchange. Can you imagine how I felt to see I was charged to send them back, when I was told I wouldn't be! Well now the 3rd shipment came. Remember I had the 1 ring from the 2nd shipment that was exactly as it should be so I had 1 ring, now just waiting for the 2nd to arrive but...this 3rd shipment blew me away. Yet another dead stone BUT the stone was cracked right down the front I could feel with my finger. I called again, this time speaking with Mary who said they don't guarantee the color of the stone to which I said, then the hosts shouldn't keep saying there is beautiful colorplay moving it all different ways to show the Blues, and often Red little flashes of light in the beautiful stone. Also, Mary had never seen Rainbow Moonstone so had no idea what a beautiful stone it is. What a terrible thing to say, however I told her the stone was cracked and asked why their quality control hadn't noticed and sent it out. She has no response except to say she let me send it back for yet....another replacement, with w complimentary no charge return. Hummm......I'm now awaiting my 4th package to arrive and these were Christmas gifts and not it's march. Well, the 4th shipment came on March 15th, 2025 and once again, a DEAD stone cracked down the middle...now I'm really frustrated. I called Sun 3/16/25 11.49am & spoke with Sally who said she'd never seen the stone, didn't watch JTV and transferred me to Bonnie who also had never seen this stone but said if she were me she'd stop trying to get a good stone....saying after all you only spent $20 bucks. I called twice more, getting other ladies to speak to always asking for a higher up supervisor please call me to no avail.

Here I sit with the 4th ring, mind you, sending them back is no small task. 4 rings with dead stone and 2 cracked down the middle.

I have been shopping with JTV for 23 years and absolutely love every one of the many pieces of jewelry that I have purchased. I have a jewelry case that is 4 feet tall and it over flowing with jewelry. I am going to have to purchase another one because I don't intend to ever stop buying.

I love the quality, variety and the unbelievable prices offered at JTV. I would never been able to afford so many pieces if I had bought them in a brick and mortar jewelry store because their prices would have been very high and cost prohibitive. JTV truely makes it possible for everyone to be able to own fine jewelry regardless of your financial circumstances. With pieces selling for as little as $20.00 all the way to 10's of thousands of dollars, there is a price point for everyone.

Another thing I love about JTV is the extensive inventory that is offered and the huge variety of rare gemstones that you combine with beautiful and unique settings. I am a rock hound and always interested in learning where the gems come from, how the gems are mined, cut and set. I also love discovering the many lab-created stones, many of which are rare or extinct that can be brought back to life to see and enjoy. And last of all, I have to mention Moissanite Fire by Charles Winston. I have more than a few pieces of that and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all those wedding sets I have put together.

I guess I wasn't supposed to go on for so long but I can't help it. JTV is a big part of my live. If you are thinking about it, stop thinking about it. JUST DO IT. I promise you won't regret it. They have something for...
