Update: So someone from Bassett responded to my review which is great. Maybe they should have found my order and got my phone number and called me. So I have written them an email and we will see if anybody responds since nobody responded to the 3 emails I sent them a month ago. Will update if I get a response.
Original Review:First let me start by saying that I had a great experience in the store. Sales lady was nice, very helpful and not pushy. My problem is with the warranty and customer care after the fact. I reached out to customer care probably right at a year of having my furniture ( couch and chair) My cushions looked older than the 10 year old furniture I just gave away that I got from Knoxville Wholesale. So I had to send pictures showing what my couch looked like. Bassett sent a very sweet lady out but she didn't even have a Gleener to do her job. She had to use the one that Bassett sent me for free. Bassett and the warranty lady said that some fabric "peels" Well the warranty lady was here for two or more hours working on my couch and chair and it looked good when she left but with in two days it looked like I have a old couch. First the salesperson should tell you about the fabric and at least warn me that this is a high maintenance fabric. So now I have to use a gleener every week on my furniture to make it look together. Such a waste of my hard earned money. I would highly NOT recommend using Bassett.
Second, after the service lady was here customer care reach out to me to see how I felt with the warranty work. Didn't leave a contact number or anything. So I responded to the email 3x and you guessed it NOBODY RESPONDED. I will say it here its obvious to me they will take care of you to get the sale but not afterwords. It just sucks that customer service doesn't exist anymore.
Either do your research on fabric or stay away.... I regret not getting my old...
Read moreWorst furniture experience I have had in my entire life! The sales lady told us all of this stuff was covered under warranty come to find out 5 years later it is not. Everyone should do their due diligence and check the better Business bureau and look at the ratings at Bassett from Knoxville has because they are bad. They will make promises to you that are lies, why do you about what's covered under the warranty. And then when you call to talk to the store manager he's okay with his lying and thieving employees. If you have any sense about you at all do not shop under any circumstances at Bassett furniture in Knoxville go to lazy boy catnapper any of them just stay far away from Bassett their furniture is overpriced cheaply made and garbage! Anyone that wants to see the quality of Bassett furniture can come to Apex firearm repair, or Tennessee welding and repair in dandridge Tennessee and I will show you what happens to their furniture after 4 to 5 years! I can show you where the leather rubs off because it's printed on the outside of what they call leather! $12,000 for a loveseat and recliner that didn't last half as long as a $4,000 couch from Ashley! What a huge...
Read moreTruly a great experience! We needed a updated Living Room/Dining Room and we had visited several local shops. Basset was the best in terms of layout, salesmanship, and quality.
The store is elegant and laid out well, not busy. T he quality of the furniture is superb with the clear options for firmness and definitely more modern in style than the surrounding local stores.
We had an awesome salesperson/designer, Patty Shands. She was such a blessing, offering her expertise in design without being pushy. She drew out different renderings of our space and allowed us time to think through the different options. The pieces we finally bought are absolutely beautiful but much of our experience was based on the kindness and care that Patty offered us from the moment we stepped into the showroom to the final purchase. We have not received our furniture but we are confident it will be perfect for our space. Will update this post when we are...
