Love local. Yesterday I ordered the fish and chips. My partner their Ruben. Our entrees were preceded by their homemade potato chips with their beer cheese. These were hot and delicious, and the chips seasoned with their special seasoning. My fish were 4 large filets with a boat load of seasoned fries underneath. Never had fish just melt in my mouth but these did. Homemade tartar sauce was perfect with my fish. The Ruben was huge, hot and very tasty. Same delicious fries. A great selection of beers most locally or regionally crafted. I ordered the flight of 4 - 5 oz. local beers. Good choice! We returned a second night for the fish and chips - easily a meal for two and added just the home crafted pretzels with cheese sauce to complete our meal. Same delicious experience. Great friendly service both nights. Recommended.

Many beers on tap and a lot of variety of food on their menu. We had the house made potato chips with queso cheese for an appetizer. We had chili (soup of the day) with meatloaf and mashed potatoes and also the house salad with lasagna. The meatloaf came with brown gravy which was good on the mashed potatoes but was also covered on the meatloaf which kind of ruined the flavor that you expected meatloaf to be. I suggest asking for gravy on the potatoes only if you order that dish. The lasagna was better and very cheese rich. I almost ordered the mozzarella bites and glad I didn't after eating this entree. It was not very busy at 5pm on a Monday but is probably much busier on a weekend. Would eat here again if the opportunity presents itself and we are back in the area.

The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We were seated within a decent time frame and our waiter took our drink orders within a timely manner. The restaurant is lacking atmosphere and a decent menu. There are more small plate options most of which are fried then there are regular menu items. The water tastes off like it has rust in it. The waiter was lacking personality to say the least. We noticed the sunday brunch buffet was being over taken, not by paying customers, but by staff. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. And to be honest for what they offer the price is higher than I would pay. This place needs a Gordon Ramsey intervention.

What are the napkins made of? As a UTK vendor we come to Knoxville twice a year and always visit this place due to the good food, live music and it being right down the street from our hotel. However, my visit a few weeks ago was rather strange. After enjoying an app, entree and a few beers I asked for a box to take my leftovers to my room. Mind you, they did put plasticware with the little napkin thats like a small, thin sheet of tissue paper. I explained to my waiter that I was staying in a hotel and would need nicer napkins to go with my leftovers please. She returns with a couple of the industrial brown roll napkins torn from either the restroom or the mop sink in the kitchen. At this point I'm scanning the room for hidden cameras because I am sure I am on camera being punked! But I give the situation the benefit of the doubt that maybe I forgot to mention I was staying at a hotel so I ask again, "Im staying in a hotel, I have much leftover food here, may I have a few of the napkins you wrap the silver with?" (and these are paper not cloth napkins) Her reply ... "I will have to ask my manager" WHAT?!?! You have to ask your manager if you can give someone who just sat here for a couple of hours listening to music, eating and drinking up a $80 dollar tab a few extra napkins??? She returns once again and says, "He said you can have two." LOL Have you ever felt you were living inside a live stand up comedy routine? Again I ask, what are the napkins made of? I know some of you are reading this thinking I must have been being difficult or having beef with the waiter but I promise there was none of that. (even during napkin-gate) That would actually make more sense! As a business owner I need to know about these special napkins and why are they so important that you choose to anger your out of town guest over them? Seems like a trivial battle to me. But all this being said, I am sure I will be back this October. If you see me stop and say Hi, I will be the one with a roll of Bounty select-a-size (no print) paper towels...

I really really wanted to love this place! But they just fell short and couldn't pass the torch or the ball enough to have any kind of memorable moment here.

A precaution statement here that I do not blame this on the server but more so the kitchen and establishment.

To start off my girlfriend made a beer order that did not show up for 30 minutes and when asked if I would like a refill we just cancelled her beer order. Yes I said that right, 30 minutes and no beer, no bueno!

Second issue was it was pretty dead overall we were there to watch the Tennessee Vols basketball game against Kentucky in the SEC tournament and all the TVs were great sound was great however food sucked! They even had a projection TV which I was super excited about.

I ordered the nachos with jalapenos tomatoes cheese all the works, we had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes which I could deal with however when my food came out it was ice cold. And I mean everything. I'm usually not very picky but I cannot eat cold food from a restaurant that has a Hot Kitchen you know what I mean. My girlfriend decided to keep her hot wings that she ordered, but even those were a little undercooked inside slightly.

You could tell that the server was kind of upset and I told her that she needs to go yell at the kitchen because they're cutting her out of her money. Definitely not a good first impression I might try them in a year two but for now I call it a no-go. Definitely take a 20-second timeout and shoot a 3 for the win at another establishment.

We just left at halftime and went to Carolina Ale House which is right down the street and 50,000X better! Good luck if you decide to shoot your shot just don't let it be a brick....

Well I had been to the Tap house plenty times before and some how this time around I go and place a veggie delight pizza order for pickup. When I got their the manager had the receipt for 14 bucks plus 1.30 tax which came to 15.30 but when I go to my online banking it shows 18.36 was place under pending. So therefore she automatically charge me 20% tip which is 3.06 totaling 18.36 of which I see on my online bank account, they don't charge you a tip automatically but have the suggested tip on the bottom to show what tip choice to choose from if you want to tip but then I go back up their tell me she doesn't know how it happen yes u do u hit some extra buttons and automatically charge me a tip Why would tip anyway when I placed a telephone order telling me it will be ready in 15mins.Got their in 15mins and had to wait a extra 20 mins so why would I want to tip anyway. So it tells me she has done this several times before. So I advise people to check they banks statements, online statements to make sure they are not putting unwanted extra dollars your card.It bad enough how money is hard during these...
