I was excited to see this place and support a local business. But then I realized they stopped accepting local makers years ago and haven't actually been a place to support new and emerging local suppliers for years. Yikes. Instead, they are reselling soap/detergent/etc. from their supplier Rustic Strength (in the Ozarks), Mama Suds (not local) and Plaine Products(not local), and Bulk Apothecary (cheap and sourced a lot from overseas and unethically) are then resold to you at an upcharge to market "locally made" to customers. Nope. Two stars for the small selection of actually local Knoxville made products shoved in the corner. There are plenty of makers who make all these selections by hand with small suppliers where this could truly be a local shop filled with only locally made items to enrich and support the community while further reducing the footprint of shipping and plastic waste by sourcing from local makers, herbs from local farmers, etc. but that doesn't make the bottom dollar appealing enough. I was really hoping for more... Stick to supporting your true local makers who need our support and buy from them directly to avoid cutting into their profits for...

Our go to method of reducing plastic is to purchase refills from the store or online that are packaged with less waste. When I heard about KnoxFill I was so excited to try them out as this is the only way to truly reduce my waste by refilling my containers and bottles un bulk.
My first time in the store I was greeted with a smiling face and had help through the whole process, from labeling and weighing the jars I brought to picking out what was best! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of variety available from scents of different soaps to other refills like cooking staples and other products to make your zero-waste goals even easier! I will absolutely be returning anytime I need something that is offered...

Plus, they've got coffee beans and loose leaf tea you can refill too, which is a major win. The stuff they carry is really good quality, and it feels good to be a little greener. The people who work there are super nice and always happy to help you out. It's easy to just bring your own containers and fill 'em up. If you're in Knoxville and want to cut down on plastic (and grab some great coffee or tea!), you gotta check out KnoxFill. It's a great...
