I usually give Kohl's high marks, but was disappointed after my visit today.
Normally there are several racks of clearance items, and a good selection of those items - not so today. There seemed to be a smaller selection of all items today in general. Whether they are expecting a shipment, or they are carrying less inventory, I don't know. But I was disappointed in the lack of selection and variety overall.
Also, in the women's section, there were two racks of clearance items on a wall, one placed above the other, and the XS and S items were on the higher rack. I wear a S, meaning I'm also short - and this arrangement made it extremely difficult to look through the clothing and make any selections. I'm sure if the sizes had been switched, with the XS and S items closer to the floor (and shorter shoppers), I would have pulled more items to consider and try on, and possibly purchase. When I mentioned this to a salesperson, she said several of them had noticed this and made the same suggestion to management, but had not been allowed to make the switch!
As always, the salespeople were friendly and helpful, and the store itself was clean. I generally do more shopping at Kohl's as the holidays approach, but if my next visit is as disappointing as this one, I'll be doing the bulk of my holiday...

Read moreI made a purchase at the Kohl's East Towne store on Sunday, Oct 22, 2017. I had a 30% off mystery saving, which the manager said I could not use unless I paid with a Kohl's credit card. I told her that the email did not say that. She said Kohl's had always done it that way. The email I received had valid with any "tender type"....but yet she would not let me use it. I was on the phone with Kohl's customer service for 45 minutes and was transferred to seven different people and still my problem was not solved. I called the store 10/23, spoke with another manager. He said the manager yesterday was correct, until I read to him what the email said, then his response was "well mam what do you want me to do?" I told him I wanted my 30% discount applied to my purchase on Sunday. He told me to come back to the store and he would apply it, which is 25 minutes from my home.
