Don't pay for the VIP tickets if you are there just to see a band, you get nothing for these tickets except some barstools on the 2nd floor and a bathroom. You can upgrade to $100 table on each side of the main floor or a $300 lounge on the 2nd floor (2nd floor has its own bar which is the only bar to keep a tab), but if you dont plan on being there the entire night, its a waste of money. Each time we ordered drinks on the main floor we had to close out...they dont keep tabs open which then they except you to tip everytime...would much rather have a tab kept opened and then given 1 big tip at the end of the night. To the bartender who questioned why I didn't tip my third trip to the bar, first its none of your business and how dare you ask, second, we paid too much for VIP tickets to get nothing for them and third, keep a tab open and get a bigger tip at the end of our night, but dont expect one each time I have to order a very over priced drink in a very small cup full of ice and except a tip each transaction, sorry I'm not some rich person who tosses my money away. This a nice place and the venue is great for the younger crowd wanting a rave like experience but its not for those who are just coming to see a certain band or performer and pay VIP tickets thinking they are getting something for them. (Our bad for...
Read moreI went to the Luna verse initially because I wanted to check out this cool new venue that showcases local artists. I first came in and the show hadn't quite started yet so I decided to sit down. well unfortunately to cannot sit down unless you pay an extra $30 for VIP passes, insane and ableist. Oh shoot well maybe i can watch the show from the balcony, right ? Nope, still $40 to get VIP. The bouncers, or whoever was checking IDs was blatantly letting underage people into this "21+" venue. probably 75% of the people that entered this club were underage and as person who is 21+ i was disgusted and annoyed. Fake IDs are illegal and letting underage people drink is dangerous and quite frankly a legal issue. That's not even the worst part. The servers/ bartenders and management were actively doing cocaine behind the bars in the presence of customers. wow. it really sucks how money hungry these places are in Knoxville, you go for a good time and leave broke and...
Read moreLunaverse is a very good idea, however it is operated horribly. There is one ticket booth for a venue that can easily hold 500+. There is no organization to form a line for said ticket booth, so for the average person it is a 35 minute mosh pit to try to get inside. Once inside, you are greeted with a 45 minute wait to be served drinks. For such a large venue, 2 public bars is not enough. While all this seems bad, the worst part of the night was the dj. The music choice made me think i was at the after party from my sophomore year homecoming. His transitions made it seem like he was controlling the music on his phone. This dj had no skill and does not deserve to be paid with his...
