I love trying out new Distillery at places we visit and this place is no exception. We tried out several different types of school there. I loved their Whiskey and Burbon, those were my absolute favorites. My wife really loved the Orange Vodka and the Pink Gin. The Dragon Tail was a really unique flavor, tasted like spices mead, which is a very good thing. The tasting was $1 per type, and an inside fact is if you buy a bottle you get the flight for free! :) Another thing that they do here is make various cocktails. My wife loved the cinnamon toast crunch drink, where I tried to the Old Fashioned. Both were and we enjoyed them. The staff was very friendly and helpful and nice to everyone there. Would defiantly visit again

The whiskey is terrific, don't get me wrong, and I purchased the Rye 95 for $45 leaving pleased. The bartender, on the other hand, could use a quick refresh on the basic principles of conversational cordiality. Every statement I made was an opportunity for her to question, correct, or diminish my line of thinking in some logical way. Somehow, we ended up at a standstill on random COVID-related social topics, eventually getting lectured by her on the importance of social distancing... Let's just talk weather and whiskey, shall we? She is quite knowledgeable on the products and business, so she did well in that regard. Overall, a cool experience, but will certainly look for other distillers next time I'm in Knoxville.

A great microdistillery located in a nice historic warehouse. We chose a flight of 5 drinks made by Knox Whiskey..a maple rum, a coffee liqueur, a bourbon, a whiskey, and an award winning botanical gin. We don't know a lot about whiskeys and Tommy was super helpful answering all our questions, teaching us a little about the distilling process, and relaying some stories of his family's history in Tennessee. He poured a second round of samples for us which included a delicious honey habanero whiskey. If you purchase a bottle of any of their amazing craft spirits, they will comp the flight samples. This is a unique and interesting place to spend an hour or two while visiting Knoxville. Safe Travels

Oh man, what a gem in the lovely little city of Knoxville. Had read great things about this place before my long weekend in Tennessee, and knew I had to stop by.

It was just me and the bartender when I arrived, which was unsurprising for a whiskey bar/distillery on a Thursday afternoon, but he made me feel very welcome with his friendly and helpful demeanor.

I got the whiskey flight, which was already ridiculously priced at just 5 bucks for 5 different whiskeys. But on top of that, the aforementioned bartender mentioned how the Deals Gap Dragontail was worth trying both at room temp and chilled, so he asked if he could throw in an extra taster so I could see for myself. That's the kind of question I love to hear.😅

All 5 whiskeys were impressive, but it was said Deals Gap (a whiskey infused with habanero, a bit of ghost pepper and local clover honey) that really got me, so I had to get a bottle to eventually take back to Pennsylvania. When I mentioned this, the bartender said that he couldn't charge my for the flight then, since I was buying a bottle. And that sealed the deal for my great experience, and only made me wish that Knox Whiskeyworks had satellite location closer to home. An absolute must go if you're in the area and are a fan of great spirits and...

My wife picked this place as a date night pre dinner spot. I was definitely skeptical as we have done the major distillery tours ( Jack Daniel's, Buffalo Trace, Bulleit, etc ) in the past. While KWW doesn't have the history that some of the others do, it definitely doesn't disappoint in the tasting aspect. We had Emma as our tour guide & she informed us that she was quite nervous bc this was her 1st tour on her own. This young lady did an amazing job on informing us as to how KWW does their distilling. She was very knowledgeable on every bottle they sold. They offer like a 13 item flight tasting when you book a tour so expect to walk out with a buzz! I was also very surprised at the Gin they distill as it was very smooth w/o the taste of a fresh Christmas Tree! .....We definitely plan on returning to have a few beverages at the bar & bringing a few bottles home. We only live about 8 miles South of KWW & plan on bringing some friends with us on...

I ended up stopping here on a road trip due to a long traffic jam. I decided to stay the night in Knoxville and googled "whiskey" and this place came up. Wow am I glad I discovered it! Got a one on one tour of the small craft distillery, and learned quite a bit about how to make spirits from the super friendly host. The whiskey is really truly great tasting. The coffee liqueur is good too. Now this is the surprise for me. I hate gin! Well, at least I did before I tasted the Jackson Ave GIN. This stuff is delicious! I ended up buying a mixed case and shared some with some friends .... and ended up getting more orders for my trip back. I used to only be a whiskey girl, but I think I'm going to have to add Knox whiskey works' "Jackson Avenue Gin" to my regular repertoire. The herbal flavors are amazing and it makes for such unique cocktails. Please support this...
