Designing Jewelers — Local services in La Crosse

Bought an engagement ring here and the relationship didn’t work out so I emailed asking if they’d buy it back (obviously at a discounted price). Was told they’d need to see it first, which is fair. I send pictures and ask if I can come by a specific day about 3 days later. After hearing nothing back, I call on the day I was going to go and ask if it’s a good time to stop by and how they’d go about buying it back. They say they’ll look at it and determine it’s worth then write a check.

I have my ex go since it was her ring and I was going to let her keep whatever money they gave her for it. A $3k ring and my ex tells me she was in there maybe 10 minutes max and was told they could only offer about 10% for it for parts, and didn’t even want to do that.

This ring was worn maybe 10 times in a little over a year. Has small diamonds and a tanzanite stone that was over $400 alone. But all it’s worth as parts is $300? Then they tell her she could try selling it on Facebook marketplace for $2000 or best offer and cleaned it for her.

Don’t waste your time here. Place was great when they were taking your money. When you want help with something else they will just string you along and...

I am so glad that I went to Designing Jewelers. What an awesome Jewelry store. They resized my wedding ring and an heirloom ring. When the rings came back to me they were perfect. The rings had been polished and buffed along with sizing and minor prong repair saving the loss of the diamonds. They also helped me determine the quality of some other jewelry that I had plans of handing down to family making that process easier for me. They have a huge selection of beautiful jewelry. They also have the cutest puppy that will take care of you at the counter. I think the puppy is the real boss.. Design worked on my engagment ring after the original (local) business would not. Only for a major up charge. I need the head mount fixed and all my bands (from another business) sodered. Their pricing, customer service, communication, craft and timeless have been exceptional. I have been back for more work because of maintenance for my ring. I will choose Design again and again.
