We recently got married at the Pump House, and the staff was amazing! Toni and Mackenzie took great care of us before, and made our our day really special. We had 65-70 guests from all over the U.S., the downtown location made it super convenient for guests not from the La Crosse area, and it is super close to hotels, restaurants, bars, and there was tons of parking. We had both the ceremony and reception there, and it was also a really great place for photographs--the building's exterior was really pretty, and it is super close to the river too! Guests who were not interested in dancing hung out in the lobby area, and we even showed a little video in the theater (and a surprise song from my new husband too!). Read moreFor an art and/or theater lover, there isn't a finer destination in La Crosse.
From the rotating exhibits in the downstairs galleries to the student exhibits on the balcony, there is always something interesting and thought-provoking to gaze at.

And, when there isn't a play running, you will probably find some of the best musicians stopping in to play some intimate engagements on their Midwestern tours. If the Pump House has a production running, you would be hard pressed to find a better way to spend your evening.
Finally, the classes, discussions, receptions, film viewings, and everything else the Pump House provides truly make it one of La Crosse's most invaluable gems. There is always something happening at the Pump House and it's always worth your...

Nice venue with the exception of needing to go from 2nd floor to the basement due to bathroom renovations. There was an elevator (yeah) but it was poorly placed for guest use (bet it mostly gets used as a freight elevator) and the location was not well marked on the 2nd floor. The program host was gracious in explaining the necessary inconvenience for the ladies and a very generous intermission allowed for a bathroom break. Overall, the facility was clean, well maintained and the chairs in the performance space were very comfortable. Acoustics were fine for a small venue event like this. Also got to do a quick check out of the current art exhibit in the main gallery space on...
