Went in last night to pick up on online order. I had an online order, and an online, same day order. There was 1 lady in front of me paying. I turn around to tell my little ones to hush up, and turn back around and this other lady cut in front of me! RUDE! She must have figured that she had a "quick question" she could just do that. Well, her question about "do you carry no slip shoes?" turned into a 15 minute ordeal. Lady..JCP doesn't have THAT many shoes - open your eyes and go LOOK! After another person got involved solving that mystery, it was my turn. I printed off my online order sheet that had a barcode. My e-mail told me for easier pickup, print it off and have ready. SO, lady rudely asks me for my number (no hi, how are you, anything. Just "Phone number?") I said, well here I printed this off. She stares blankly at my slip of paper for about 30 seconds, hands it back and goes "Phone Number?" OMG. I gave it to her, and said, well sorry I figured it would make it easier for you to have the printed off e-mail. The other service lady chimed in.."Oh honey, we do this daily. We could do it with our eyes closed" Well, apparently not...So after she goes and gets my order, which took her FOREVER taking her sweet ol' time, I said oh, that is my same day order. The printed e-mail I gave you is for my other online order, it says "READY FOR PICKUP" So, she takes the e-mail again, and stares at it...for.an.eternity. Then proceeds to tell me "Oh, it hasn't come in yet." I said, but it says ready for pickup? She hasn't even attempted to scan the barcode on the damn printed off piece of paper that was supposed to make this pickup idiot proof! Just tells me that it is not ready. OK. Alright. Whatever you say lady. So my e-mail from JCP stating that my order is ready for pickup, just means that it hasn't arrived yet? Ok, I understand. (Said nobody ever!) I said, well it said it was ready, that's a shame. So to the lady who cut in front of me because you thought you could ask a question before I checked out, that is RUDE and SELFISH. You could have asked me if you could just ask a question before I checked out, but no, took it upon yourself to butt in front of me like a parent standing in line for pay your age at Build A Bear. Eyeroll And to the clerk(s) - learn some manners, this is customer service. If you don't enjoy helping others, then get out of the retail business! And if you don't understand how to even do your job, then please, speak up because my 2 minute pick up ended up being way...
Read moreLast weekend (September 21st, 2018) my boyfriend and I decided to go into JCPenny in La Crosse, WI to find shirts for him. We found two flannels, a size M & a size L and since we typically don't go to JCpenny for clothes, we didn't know his exact size. We went to the fitting area and he decided to try it there so we can both decide which one fits him best. In my best and honest opinion, I told him that he should get the L because the M seemed a bit tight on the arms and it's more comfortable if it's a bit loose. You can tell the Medium looked small on him. The sales associate working in the fitting room area at that time (Her name is Jan), randomly jumped into our conversation and said to me that I shouldn't measure it by eye because it's incorrect and unnatural for me to estimate what size my boyfriend is. She also mentioned that "natural" people don't measure it estimate it and told my boyfriend what I said was incorrect. She also gave us an attitude as she was telling us her opinion. I ignored her and continued my conversation with my boyfriend. I told him he should still get the L because the M was too tight on the arms. The entire time I was talking to my boyfriend, she just stared at us with a straight face. It was getting uncomfortable for my boyfriend and I so we left the store afterwards. I'm sure there are lovely people who works there, but from what I've experienced with Jan that day, I wouldn't want to work with someone with her personality nor would I want her to treat...
Read moreWould give 0 but not an option. It's like a retail scam. Let's charge $50 for a T-shirt. We'll say it's on clearance from 50-70% off. We'll mark it at 50%, like 99% of the other clearance items so that it can legit be clearance. $25 for a T-shirt, that even at a novelty store retails for $20 and is usually on sale BOGO, or for $10 of $15. Customer service was abismal. Entering the store from the mall I saw the cashier stop her current transaction to accost the second customer and push him to another register. When he wasn't moving fast enough, she further motioned him to the register. I have rarely seen someone do so much work, to avoid more. Had she just finished the transaction, she would have been customer free soon enough. Asking for assistance was another mistake. The two lady's pushing racks were rolling their eyes at a coworker who was praying another for a good job they had done. I asked them where I may find something. Acting put out, she pointed to the general vicinity and walked off. In this day and age, when online allows me to place an order for pickup or delivery to me, I will not visit this store or their online again. Another corporate giant that ballooned themselves. Instead of changing with the times, they are dying like the dinosaur they are. James Cash Penny should be rolling in his grave. You used to go there to find value and sales. Now scams and overpriced merchandise...
