Backpack Boyz — Local services in La Mesa

So I’m coming back after over 2 years as that one star review was the 1st and only visit i had ever made to this store up until yesterday. The visit was horrible not to mention the lack of customer service, accountability, and positivity the bud tender / cashier had but she may have been anywhere under the age of 24 so bless her heart. However yesterday’s visit (as I was nervous to chance this store again) with MiMi the beautiful bud tender was such a complete joy and she is such a knowledgeable staff member they are so lucky to have her. As was I walking out of there having spent under 20$ for an eighth and a 1g pre-roll! so they have changed my negative impression on their store to 5 stars and I will probably be stopping by this morning when they open as I work close by so very convenient if you happen to work in la mesa or have to use the 67 S freeway....

Normally have a great 5 star experience and purchase 2-3 times WEEKLY. however just had a budtender sell me the wrong gram even after double checking with me the strain names and I didn’t take my first receipt as Iv never had a problem here once before but when I had to drive 20 minutes back after realizing my items were wrong I was made to pay the full difference with no discount or even a free dirt cheap preroll for their mistake and inconvenience making me have to come back again a second time. As their prices are some of the best in the area I will continue to shop here however was absolutely not satisfied today and will definitely be checking budtenders are grabbing my correct items every time now because they clearly did not care about taking care of a recurring customer in any way just voided my previous transaction to clear their mistake and...

Didn’t honor MMIC!!!! So right from the start I let the security guard about my mmic at check in he pretty much brushed me off then when I was going to pay I asked the budtender if my mmic was on file she said it was after I received my receipt I noticed I got charged the sales tax I let her know but she starts to catch a attitude and try to lie to me about the tax. A mmic exempts you immediately from sales tax she proceeds to call the owner over the phone. The owner pretty much said it was store policy ? So it’s store policy to break California law ?
