I was genuinely looking forward to working with this business based on the glowing Facebook reviews. I booked a consultation online, expecting a smooth process. Unfortunately, my experience was far from it.
She rescheduled on me twiceâwithout so much as a courtesy call. In fact, I only found out she wasnât available because I showed up in person, only to discover she wasnât there and hadnât planned to be according to an Embellish salon employee the first time and a stylist at the studio the second time. As someone with a family and a tight schedule, I simply donât have time for this level of disorganization.
After digging deeper into the Facebook reviews, I noticed a pattern: many people who left positive feedback mention that they havenât even received service yet. This raises concerns about the credibility of those reviews. Some of them seemed to have a copy paste style.
I understand things happen, but communication and basic professionalism should come firstâespecially when people are trusting you with their time and expectations. I wanted to support and work with a local business, but in the end, I chose to save myself the time and the headache.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Respecting your customersâ time and following through on commitments should always be a priority. Best of luck to...
Read moreI wish this wouldâve been a good review but unfortunately this is not . I had a horrible experience here where I was promised a service that I did not receive. I had two inspo pictures one was brown the other one was a balayage so very different inspo we ended doing the balayage when I left the salon I had told Lesdy i didnt like the color because I wanted blonde not platinum I was told to come back for toner wich we later would set up .The next day I noticed short strands infront when I came to the realization all of my top layer of hair was gone ! I immediately messaged Lesdy and told her my concerns because why wasnât I told this before leaving the salon ! Especially when I paid a full service ($530) to get my hair done and come out with most of it missing. We tried to work something throughout the week since I had a big important Event coming up she offered to put treatment and toner and install some I tips wich I never got and kept giving me the run around knowing I was coming in a week and half in advance kept moving my appointment time . I am really disappointed with my hair especially with such a high...
Read moreI donât usually leave bad reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent others from going through what I did. I drove 4 hours from Dallas specifically to see Karina Pompa, but unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I expected.
Although Karina started working on my hair, she allowed one of her employees to take over the job, despite me specifically coming to see her. Before heading to her salon, Karina quoted me a price range of $1,000-$1,500, which was supposed to include hair, installation, and customization. She also mentioned an additional $365 for hair color. I was expecting to pay no more than $2,000 for the entire service.
However, when I went to pay, the final charge was a shocking $3,480. It felt like I was taken advantage of, especially given that my daughter was two days away from her Quinceañera , and I had no other option but to go through with it. On top of that, the extensions are extremely thin, and the color is uneven.
I highly recommend saving yourself the frustration and disappointment â I would not recommend this...
