Time went : 9:20ish am on Saturday. Dine-in. It was raining this morning so I can't imagine how much busier it might get in good weather
Service: served and cleaned very fast. Chinese -cantonese speaking but I was able to order in English
Tip: not for a single person unless you're really hungry! Serving sizes are a lot bigger than I expected!! Share size!!

When we got there, it was shortly after opening and it was already full. We were the second in the wait list. But got seated probably about 15 minutes afterwards. Place is about a standard cafe size. It was full of friends and family members chatting as a background noise.
Food was really delicious and hot. There was a variety of congee and other Hong Kong dishes
Egg and beef congee - very delicious. The soups and congees come in large bowls . Large even by American standards probably so it's a share size with at least one other person. We dined in and we got about 4 of their bowls full from one order of the congee
Chow mein - the chow mein that came with the combo was pretty dry so I didn't partake in it as much
Flour rolls (beef) (shrimp)-doesnt come sauced and easily remedied but the sauce on the table. very fresh and delicious! Will order again
Wonton noodle soup - same bowl size as the congee. More broth than the noodles and wonton which is absolutely fine cause the soup is very delicious
Pineapple bun - comes cut with a slice of butter between. I didn't partake as I don't really like it with butter but it looks yummy and my partner really liked it
Drinks - hot coffee with milk came with congee combo was small cup but fine since you're filling up with food. I ordered a iced tea with lemon and it was really sweet but fine to consume. Might ask just for iced tea next time

Read moreWent a few weeks ago and would’ve had a bad experience if not for the food. Was craving baked rice dishes and found this restaurant chain on my list. I ordered the seafood baked rice (which was delicious and just what I was reminiscing) and a mango smoothie. Service was…questionable. Waiter first delivered wrong a strawberry smoothie (which another customer ordered) and they didn’t find the right table for it until a good several minutes later. Was also not made aware beforehand they only accepted Visa/Mastercard credit card and lady writing my check gave me attitude when I said that was my only present form of payment. In the end, she checked and told me there would be a 50 cent surcharge for charging other credit cards, and then they actually charged a dollar more. Needless to say, would probably not come back to this...
Read moreFood was okay but the experience I am sharing is all about my ice tea Togo incident. I ordered the ice tea with sandwich set. When I finished the sandwich, I had around 2/3 of ice tea left in the cup (btw, never got refills although not sure if they do ). I asked the waitress to give me a Togo cup but she said there will be an additional charge for the cup. I then said I will use my own cup. And she said as long as the ice tea leaves the restaurant, there will be a charge for Togo regardless. I was so confused. I can't even take out the ice tea I paid for? If that's the case, they should charge on all their takeout orders? It's like when you go to Starbucks and you take a sip inside the store and the Barista charges you extra on your way out? Not a good dining...
