My daughter is a huge Build a Bear fan, she has fond memories of her bears growing up that we purchased in Galveston location... so we went into this location for her to browse just for memories (she is now 14yrs old). On our way out of the store, the cashier was going out of her way to see the shopping bags that my daughter had in her hand that we walked into the store with of items that were purchased from other stores in the mall, completely suspicious that she was shoplifting. I was so insulted I called the employee out for insulting me and my family. I informed the employee that my daughter bought her things with her own money that she saved up. I wish I would have gotten the employees name, but I was way too mad to pay attention. Shame on you, we will definitely never step foot in this...
Read moreWent there yesterday and the service was great, had a bear destuffed to clean. Went back today and a manager with 17 years on her badge. Catherine or caroline. Cant entirely remember. Despite me having signs of being autistic and my partner trying to explain kept inturrupting and wouldnt let us explain we left his heart at home, and tried to take him to sew up him despite me backing away and almost sending me into a melt down, ironically enough they have a "sensory friendly" sign up. They know how to work with small children who are a bit timid. The selection of characters is always great and we have built up a great collection of bears. The first one I bought was for my wife years ago so it’s a good tradition to keep up....
