Arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 pm Sunday night. There were 2 small groups of people waiting before us. The hostess told me it would be a 30 minute wait. I told her ok. I noticed that all of the booths on the right side of the restuarant were empty and I asked if we could have a booth. She replied that they do not open the right side of the restaurant on Sundays. I then asked if we could sit in the bar area since it was completly empty. She said no. I told her we would wait while the manager was walking up. The manager told her something at which point the hostess looked at us said it's going to be at least a 30 minute wait and we close in two hours. Both the mananger and the hostess were uninviting and basically stating by their tone and facial expressions that we were not going to be served. Upon leaving we noticed that there were 4 empty tables on the side of the restuarant that was open (Picture attached) I called the restaurant, spoke to the manager and got no resolution when I spoke to her. We have been going to Olive Garden for a long time and have never beed dealt with like this. It's unacceptable. With 2 hours left to close, an empty bar, and at least 4 tables open that we could see there is no reason to turn away a party of 5. If I was the owner I would want to know that this is how my employees are handeling my business. It seemed that the manager wanted to close up as soon as possible and was turning away money to get that done. Olive Garden Lafayette is losing life long customers and that is a crying shame because it is our favorite.

Hadn’t been to an Olive Garden in a hot minute and I have to say it was surprisingly very good! The waitress was very cordial and friendly, however, it didn’t seem like she had the order of operation down pat, took a long time for every step of our dining experience, or maybe it was just a slow night for her, but it was literally over an hour, wait times were just kinda long. I got the endless soup and salad which I highly recommend, so filling and the bread sticks were fantastic. One complaint is that for other ppl at the table ordering entrees they couldn’t substitute their side dishes, so you end up paying 4x for the same big salad bowl. Anyway it was a great experience and I will definitely be back ! The chicken gnocchi was by far the best soup out of the list ! Go try it out Oh and the Chocolate mousse dessert was divine

We used to love olive garden. But with medicore taste and portion size for higher prices it's no longer worth it. Tonight the server forgot items and had to be told to remove them from the bill. The bartender admitted to trying to make a flavored syrup last longer by adding less to my coffee drink making it taste wrong. When the food came one plate was screaming hot and had to wait to eat it. Another was Luke warm withering the Alfredo sauce being cold and clumping together. And the third was just right. Next time we'll save some money and have grocery store tv dinners. About the same quality.

My last few visits to Olive Garden over the past couple of years have been sub-par, to say the least. This last visit just may have been my/our last. I visited the Lafayette location with my husband, mother and sister. All was going well, the waitress seemed knowledgeable about some of the new dishes, she was very friendly and outgoing. One of the new dishes sounded good enough to try, so my husband ordered it. When it came out, it was missing one of the main ingredients ... bacon!!! We asked the waitress about the missing ingredient and her first response was that they use bacon grease, not actual bacon. This struck me funny so I referred to the menu photo which clearly shows bacon in the dish. Her next reply was that " oh yeah, sometimes they make the dish with and sometimes without" and that, on this particular day, they were out of bacon. (ok) We went on with our meal and decided to split desserts. 2 desserts between 4 people, one chocolate cake and one strawberry cheesecake. My mom also requested coffee with the dessert. When the items were brought out, the cheesecake topping was watery and the strawberries did not look appetizing, so we sent that back. The waitress apologized and informed my mom that her coffee would be out soon, she was brewing a fresh pot. We went on to devour the delicious chocolate cake and a few minutes later she finally showed up with the cup of coffee ... it was COLD!!! Seriously? If you just brewed a fresh pot of coffee .. how in the world did you serve a table ... especially a table where you already had 2 strikes against you ... a COLD CUP OF COFFEE?!! (SIGH) For these 3 strikes and sub-part service in the past, we will not be frequenting the Lafayette location of Olive Garden anytime...

This was the worst visit I have had from use about any place. They were not busy at all with customers. So you would guess that the speed of bring you for order would be fast. Far from it. They took forever to get us our orders. We ordered the Never ending stuffed pasta. Well after waiting for ever for the first round, we found out that they had only 2 people in the kitchen cooking. They did not get the orders right any time we ordered. They brought us a reorder of pasta and we had the grilled shrimp on it and the shrimp was only half way cooked. Not good. Sent it back. They when they brought us another plate they shrimp was burnt. A waste of our time and money. Will not go back here ever again. It is not our fault that they do not have a proper staff to cook the food. Now our server she was great, friendly, easy going and apologized for the problems we were having. The only thing they did was take off one of the meals for the half cooked shrimp. The manager never came to our table to talk to us or anything. NOT GOOD. With a problem like under cooked seafood, the manager should have come over right away. I did not take any pictures of the food because that would have been a waste of our time. So I would recommend DO NOT EAT HERE, save your money and time and go somewhere else,...
