As the saying goes, “you don’t get a second chance to make good first impression”.
A series of misses here made for a bad first impression. The lunch menu has two options for enchiladas. The verdes enchiladas lunch size which is $10 and the enchiladas plate for $9. I’m not a big fan of enchiladas verdes so I ordered the enchilada plate with beef enchiladas
So, not only did I receive the enchiladas verdes but the plate didn’t have beans. Also I had no silverware. The waitress quickly brought utensils and the beans as well as the red sauce that would have been on the beef enchiladas. But, you can’t just pour the red sauce over green enchiladas. It’s not the right flavors and I’m now going to be mixing the green sauce and red sauce.
When it’s all said and done, I went ahead and kept what I had and took it as a sign that maybe I needed to try these enchiladas. For the food itself, not impressed. I really didn’t care for the salsa, although that is just a preference. This salsa has a strong chili power taste which is not my favorite. The enchiladas themselves were fine, but the tortillas crumble like they had not been dipped in oil before getting rolled. Rice was actually good, but the beans were generic and runny.
In the end I was charged for the $10 plate, which I did eat, but didn’t order. I’m not complaining about the price, but I would have expected to be charged for what I ordered when the kitchen obviously made the mistake. If the food was amazing, all these issues would be forgiven. But it’s...

From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm colors, lively music, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly cooked food. The staff is friendly without being overbearing, and the atmosphere has a striking balance between casual and polished and a rustic cantina.
We started with the shrimp, steak and chicken fajitas which were the highlight of the night! The steak was juicy and smoky, marinated to perfection, with just a hint of sweetness from grilled garlic. Served on soft, fresh corn tortillas and topped with chopped onions and cilantro, they didn’t need any frills—just a squeeze of lime and a dab of salsa verde to make them superb!
To drink, the horchata was creamy and refreshing, while the house mango margarita packed a punch without overwhelming the palate. If you're into spice, don’t miss their mango-chili margarita—equal parts sweet, spicy, and dangerously drinkable.
Verdict Mezcal Mexican Restaurant doesn’t try to reinvent Mexican cuisine—it embodies it with it’s hospitality and quality of food. From the warmth of the service to the boldness of the flavors, it's the kind of place you'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next...
Read moreYalllll, this place SLAPS! This is about our 5th time here, and everytime is extremely pleasant. Can't recall a bad experience and I'm usually a tough critic. First, they seat you very quick, and almost instantly have chips and salsa ready to go, great salsa too. Then they'll just keep bringing them too.. then your drinks come really quick. We always choose house margaritas, their small is pretty big and the large is a fish tank. Such good prices on them too. So then we order food, seemed like 4 minutes went by and they were coming out with hot fresh delicious food.. yall, DELICIOUS. I'm not even a big Mexican food fan, but everything I've gotten every time has seemed to be my favorite experience eating each different thing. Can't say enough good about this place. Owner/manager actively walking around checking in and making sure everything is great.
Yall gotta give this place a shot.
thats a "small" margarita...
