UPDATE!!! Just a note regarding Furniture Plus Bedding Outlet in Acadiana Mall... We bought furniture December 2021, delivered Christmas Eve. The console table was dented and a hydraulic arm was not working. Sent photos to owner who confirmed receipt. Now July, several calls and visits later, still not resolved. We have been told several things - coming from Malaysia, from Baton Rouge, from New Orleans. When we said we would go get it, then now it's on a truck and there is no telling when it will arrive. (We are 2 hours from New Orleans.) When we question when is going on, twice now we have been accused of threatening. Pas Bon. We bought in good faith and seem to be scammed in bad. Read all the reviews, folks. Furniture is gorgeous, but the transaction has left a bad taste. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but the way we have been treated is not fair at all. We bought new furniture and got damaged. Why didn't I refuse the delivery? Glad I didn't, we would have nothing. The owner even pointed out a bed in his showroom that the buyers have waited over 14 months for. (It didn't have a sold sign on it but...). Over six months is ridiculous and upon checking around, it is NOT the norm.
I have been in the (soft) market for a new couch and love seat for a while now. Short background - Due to drivers who should never have been allowed a license, my vehicle(s) back bumper(s) have been the target(s) of three different front bumpers at various speeds and needless to say, my back and neck aren't as happy as they used to be. Couple that with a new life direction, the need to erase what I could from my past has resulted in this search. Fast forward to yesterday. As per usu...my British fiance (reason for the description described in a bit) and I were last minute Christmas panic shopping in Acadiana Mall last night when I spied this furniture store tucked away in a corner (not sure which, I always get lost in that mall - hence the maxed out credit cards - sigh). Anywho...we went on in and had a look around. The manager - Mike - approached and I went into I'm-just-looking mode, expecting a high pressure sales pitch. Didn't happen. Long story short, the Brit settled on a certain couch and the look on his face and the happy noises in British accent spoke volumes. Mike came over and we explained my condition. he showed me a few pieces, but we kept coming back to that one couch. Mike worked with us to make sure these pieces would accommodate both my physical needs and keep the Brit's happiness level high. At checkout, the rest of the staff actually took time to visit with us. Aleathea was so incredible genuine and friendly. Needless to say, we are happy and will return to this store for future pieces. First off my wife originally went alone and was browsing for a bed and a dresser for my oldest child. We were also thinking of buying a new sectional so she started browsing for that while she was there.
Next, a salesman by the name of Jeramie, walked up and introduced himself and discussed what she was there shopping for without being pushy or anything. She told him primarily a bedroom set but couldn’t find anything so she started looking at sectionals because we were looking to purchase. Coincidentally, she ended up finding the perfect sectional, at the exact size we needed, with the type of fabric we were looking for, AND a neutral color that fit our space!
My wife then messaged me right away and said she thinks she found the one so I asked about details, she sent a pic, and also the price. My first question was are they negotiable and did you ask if the price was firm. She said no but I can ask. After asking Jeramie, they eventually spoke with Mike the owner and they were able to offer us not only the sectional, but the ottoman too, at a great price!
I went and met her just to check it out and meet the sales team, not thinking we were going to purchase since we had just started shopping for a sectional. Jeramie was very nice and not pushy at all, telling me to sit on it as long as we needed to ensure it was or wasn’t the right one. I fell in love with it and told them we wanted it! A moment later the owner, Mike, came to introduce himself and we spoke for a good bit. Very nice man with a good spirit. He ended up making it a wonderful experience all around!
Thanks to the sales team at Furniture Plus and also the delivery team! They were prompt, well spoken, on time and very professional! They handled our furniture with care and placed it in our home exactly how we wanted it with no fuss at all!!

Read moreI'm from Baton Rouge and I was walking through the mall in Lafayette and noticed a beautiful bed that I wanted to purchase so I went in purchased the bed told him that I sent someone back for delivery to deliver to me and let go back and get the bed and the mattress is so thin for what I paid for that bed which was $1,853 so when I called back and spoke with the foreign Man In Charge he was really nasty he yelled at me he cursed at me and told me he wouldn't giving me a damn thing so I had not taken the bed at the box yet our friendly was trying to find a way to get it back to him to get a refund which at that time I called him back he never agreed to give me another mattress he was so rude and so ugly I don't see how he even still in business when I purchased the bed I also had in mind to come back and purchase a living room set that I saw but after the way he treated at me and talked to me I will never set foot back in that store again and I had two people in my family that wanted to purchase this same bed but after I told them about my horrible experience with that man they say they don't want to even go in the store so they lost almost $4,000 because of his nasty ass attitude more than 4000 because I was coming back to buy a living room set so y'all need to do something about the way he talked to customers horrible customer service I will never set foot back in that store again and I canceled out on coming back getting that living room set as well if you and business you need to learn how to treat and talk to people he don't have that quality I've never been disrespected like that before and that amount of money I spent I ain't going to send me a pancake mattress so damn flat I have to crawl up out the bed to get up horrible customer service spoke to me very unprofessional and curse me and yelled at me I'm still pissed off so everyone that likes my bad I buy them not to go back and have to deal with him and they agree no more sales for that store from us Baton...
