I had a ring that needed to be resized. The ring had been resized when first purchased. They sent it off to be resized only to come back with a hole in the side of the band section. Had them send back to fix. Came back and ring still had visible damage. Requested same ring. They no long make my ring. Requested to keep my ring and get a store credit for a new ring (knew that was a far fetch, but I'm emotionally attached to my ring) opened a case through customer service, ended case with that I would be able to go in and trade my ring in for the full value of my ring. Went to look into this option and was made feel like I was on a used car lot. The manager Jennifer sitting in her office while her employee has to walk back and forth the relay information. And was told they could not do the value of the ring. Clearly Jennifer doesn't care about customers who have spent their hard earn money in her store. She could of easily came out and helped us through this issue, as she was the one who delt with the customer service on this case. I'm out of luck getting my money back and stuck with a ring company who I no longer trust my beloved jewelry with. Both were in original packaging, and had receipts. She informed me Zales doesn’t do exchanges. I pulled up the online policy and that is COMPLETELY FALSE. The items were purchased 20 days ago, your website states you can do a full return in 30 days or an exchange within 60 days. Shermain refused to help me with an exchange and stated if I have a problem with it call customer service. Customer service informed me this is absolutely false and you guys do offer an exchange and we’re just as perplexed as me as to why Shermaine turned me away. She didn’t even look at my product or receipt, just told me sales does not offer exchanges. After speaking to customer service I called the store back and informed her that I can do an exchange and she said “I’m the manager here I can do what I want. Tell them to call me themselves if they don’t like it”. The consultant had a hard time pulling up his account when he has purchased multiple jewelry pieces from Zales. The jewelry is cheaply made and my husband and I will never purchase another piece of jewelry from here. It's an inconvenience to bring and pick up several times a year when the diamonds are missing.
1/6/2022-If I could give this less than 1 star, i would. In less than a year and a half, I've had to do 2 warranty claims and just recently another diamond came out. So here's to a 3rd... It's really frustrating when your ring has spent more time being fixed/repaired than on my ring finger. If you want quality rings, shop locally and steer clear from Zales. It's a hassle to have to make an appt to bring it in, drive 30+ minutes away, then to wait weeks to get it back and have to go get it. How many times do I have to do a warranty claim?
