I have a lot of wonderful things to say about this place. Overall, I’ve always wanted to come back, and never left with an item I was disappointed in. They have had many flavor options, styles, and designs over the years, one particular favorite of mine being their beverage of the day (don’t exactly quote me on that, because it might be beverage of the week).

Most recently I got a s’mores pie for my birthday, and a particular order that I was so very thankful and blessed they were able to make happen! My grandmother was celebrating her 79th anniversary and I got her the gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free crème brûlée cheesecake, and it was phenomenal! 50 people got to try it, and everyone was obsessed with it!

About the service: As respectfully transparent as I can be, the service has declined. There used to be a girl who worked there with pink, maybe purple hair, and she was so polite and friendly when everyone walked through the door. Sometimes you could tell it was busy and hectic in there, but she always managed to be helpful and thorough when customers arrived. I’m not sure if she’s still there, but she was awesome. The customer service now isn’t so. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great. I also have noticed a repetitive difference when persons obviously look more elegant or “dressed up” versus when they’re more casual or walk in there not looking their best. The treatment is different. I’ve seen it happen with myself and others.

In all, Sweet Revolution is a wonderfully cozy small sweet shoppe to visit if you’re in town as a tourist or a Lafayette native. The location is great, and there’s usually open spaces to park for a quick pickup or a sit down. Hope you enjoy their amazing grab and goes, summer refreshments,...

I visited Sweet Revolution for the first time. Nice space, welcoming atmosphere, and a friendly clerk. Unfortunately, the savory pastry that I selected for breakfast proved to be inedible. The item was a generously sized piece of pie slap with a tomato and goat cheese filling, Both the pastry and the filling were excessively salty, and the filling, instead of tasting like fresh tomatoes accompanied by tangy goat cheese, was revoltingly eggy. Several hours later my mouth was still dogged by the eggy taste sensation, even after attempting to wash it away with a large lemon coke. On the premise that while the baker was evidently not accomplished in the art of savory baking, she surely was able to bake a good sweet banana quick bread, I ordered the bourbon banana bread. It had a pecan strudel topping that was very good, and the baker had evidently preroasted the pecan pieces, as it was deliciously crisp and full flavored. The bread was satisfyingly boozy. I thought the web site had described the bread as also featuring chocolate, but did not find a chocolate presence. It was a good basic banana bread, as it should have been. I also tasted a deep pink macaroon with a rose filling, and it was fine, with a deliciously subtle tang of rose. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the inedible pie slab, which I threw away after choking down three bites. This was an unacceptable error for a bakery that aspires to be of...

Small family business, the kind I like to support. The store is nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly! I usually get the French macaroons they sell. As much excited I am to go and buy the macaroons, my excitement goes away when I taste them. The cookie is very hard outside (which it shouldn’t be) and most of the fillings have cream cheese, which I would not recommend. I’d rather have some kind of marmalade mix instead. I think that recipe could get evolved. The croissants are really tasty and the savory things they sell I would rather buy them warm than in room temperature. The small cheesecakes are delicious!!! I still haven’t tried their pies but I heard those are the signature of the bake shop! Will have to try them soon! Overall I like this place that’s why I keep going back, I see the effort of the owners and the love they put in that store. I come from Europe, where you can find bake shops in every corner, so my expectations are high, you guys can improve a lot!! I will continue to...

I'm quite sad to have to write this review as 3 stars; I wholeheartedly believed this would be a 5 star review. The atmosphere inside was perfect. It was warm, smelled wonderful, and the decorations were just right. The cashier who helped me was very kind and knowledgeable. I was SO EXCITED to find out this is a peanut free bakery! I ordered one of each of the macarons. They were each just okay but not something I would get again. The ginger one was way too heavy on the ginger and I actually had to spit it out. I also got 3 cheesecakes: red velvet, chocolate stout, and tiramisu. My husband and I each had one bite of each of them and that's it. I got a lemon cheese pie and it was not good at all. I expected to be blown away by at least one thing we got but we didn't finish a single thing. I will give them another chance to try the savory side and croissants and will update this once I do.
