This store doesn’t deserve even 1 star. Misty the general manager of this Lake Charles,La store is absolutely the worst! I guess it doesn’t take customer service ability to get this job. Misty sure doesn’t have an ounce of it! Also, let me just add. The delivery manager/store manager (I was told was his title) expressed how he gets to use corporate money, company vehicles and gas to do personal things on company time. How he was getting to pick up a fridge from another Aaron’s store brand new for 50 dollars and it was 3 hrs 1 way. That was why my stuff wouldn’t be delivered till later Monday or even possibly Tuesday. If this was happening to me. I’m sure other peoples deliveries have been delayed and backed up as well. Basically he enjoyed bragging about his said manager position as he informed me if I ever needed an appliance to just let him know.Come Tuesday morning my delivery had not yet come so I called to confirm it was still coming. Misty, then lies saying the delivery man waited for over 20 min at my home. They couldn’t reach me. My phone records will prove this bull wrong! So when I called to get delivery rescheduled I was put on hold by Shelby for over 29 min and talked to so rude it was ridiculous. So come the 30 min mark I hung up. During all this Misty never gave a crap about my identity and discussed my acct with someone not on my acct. She then closed it and then told Corporate her life was threatened. I don’t think she could tell the truth if she tried. I will be speaking to an attorney over her and the store. As they did no verification and spoke to someone not on my acct. then closed my acct and flagged while on the phone with this person that is not on my acct. I was told it was because she was the manager and could do that. I was told it was at her discretion. My attorney will be pulling calls and they will find out who exactly the one was that got threatened in this situation and I can truly say it sure wasn’t her life! Also, due to my privacy and acct being violated, closed and flagged. I do NOT RECOMMEND AARONS AND ESPECIALLY NOT THIS STORE. If my privacy and acct can be violated with Misty as the manager and the one who did this, I simply just worry and think of all the others who are customers already at this store. I sure hope they haven’t been done wrong like I was. Not to mention I am a past customer who did business with this company for several yrs. Dropping almost if not more than 200 a wk at times. Being I just got back to the lake Charles area after being in another state due to my veteran husband going through chemo and radiation at a VA hosp since 2022. We moved with out having a lot. So we needed to furnish our new home. Meaning we were gonna be dropping over 400 a mth here. Yes, call us stupid! Aaron’s this is how you let a United States Veteran and his wife get treated at your store! What a great THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR!! Aaron’s you need to do better and my attorney will be sure this happens! No this is no threat. It’s a promise as you can’t just get away with letting your employees treat others in such a manner including letting their privacy and all kinds of important information in their accts be violated. Talked to and treated in such a poor way. Great Customer Service ability everyone has at this store! A call was put in twice to corporate and I was promised a call back from the regional manager. Didn’t happen so I called him. Still no call back. So corporate was called again and this time promised a district manager would call back. We will see if that happens. Tomorrow 10/9 will be 24 hrs. On this one. 1 wk later -Never got a return call from any upper management. Guess that says a lot about bout why this business is ran like it is! All I can say is I will let everyone I know that Aaron’s is not a place to purchase from and certainly not a place that cares about their veteran customers. Read moreI am sure they are probably good but I have had a bad experience. Twice in 2 days they attempted to deliver without contacting me to ensure I was home. I work full time so it has to be coordinated by a phone call. Absolutely no contact was made with me by their store. I ordered online and was told my product was not in store because I ordered online. After 5 days I called the toll free number and was told my order had been in store for 3 days. Now they want to try to deliver in a week because of my work schedule after I spent my entire Saturday waiting for delivery only to still not have my merchandise. After 2 years of me calling in my payment, ontime, she decided to put me on ez pay and charge my said without permission 2 days BEFORE my payment was even due. When I called about it, she could care less. Told me oh well u won't be due for a month. Ummm of course I won't. She offered absolutely no solution. Was unwilling to find one and hung up one me. Now for the last hour she either letsbthe phone ring incessantly or picks it up and puts me straight on hold for 40 plus minutes. She also picked up and hung up several times.
