JCPenney — Local services in Lake Charles

I'm very upset. I'm still in the store waiting to talk to a MOD. I'm trying to buy luggage and ask for pricing on an item because the tag was missing. I could hear the salesman and saleswomen 4 grouped together talking about their weekend plans. The salesman I asked price from began to approach me and started talking tell me his findings and one of the salesgirls spoke louder to him about continuing the non work related conversation, he turned from me to go back to answer her then when they finished talking came back to tell me it didn't have a price. Duhhhhh! Then he tells me "it's probably defective. It probably has a bad wheel." Then he tells me he can't sell it to me cause it didn't have a price. Realllly!!??!! After I had to hear giggling saleswomen talking bout dates and weekend plans I can't even buy it!!! I hate JC PENNY'S! Not a little. I 100% dislike you. I'm still waiting on a MOD. It's been 15 minutes now add the 35 minutes I spent looking at luggage.... I'M DONE! You will never get my businesses! Ever! Too bad I can't give you a negative...

Not a terrible store but stopped shopping here alot because I just can't ever seem to find what I want.

Location: inside the mall. Access from outside. Parking lot in area is large. Next to tj Maxx. Restrooms nearby.

Atmosphere: sometimes hot inside. Large store. Sometimes can't figure out where certain clothing is located (recently struggled to find swim suits for women).

Prices: can be pricey. I usually only buy 1 item and use a coupon from the app to discount it.

Clothing: kids, men, women, juniors. Shirts, pants, suits, dresses, jackets, ties, shoes, bras, underwear, makeup, household, blouses, etc. Many brands: Arizona, a.n.a., Levi's, Liz Claiborne, st John's bay, champion, forever 21, xersion, carter's, Melissa & Doug, skechers, etc.

Service: sometimes dismissive on the floor/register, or just trying to get you through the line. Sometimes the wait to check out can be a little long. It can be difficult to know what line to get in at the...

We just like the clothes they have there better. We've tried other places but usually find the clothes my wife finds acceptable there. Now my idea of acceptable and her idea of acceptable clothing are different. Me, I like good quality clothing that will last a long time and am willing to pay more for it. Wife thinks clothing is only as good as the deal she got on it. Penny's is loaded with deals. I'm fairly happy with the quality and she will not buy anything unless it is marked down. During this last visit we were checked out by one of the best cashiers we have ever encountered in a department store. He was able say all that the company required him to say without coming across as a jerk or a robot. The guy was fast and friendly. I wish all could...
