Rent-A-Center — Local services in Lake Elsinore

Worst store ever. I really wish I would have shopped around and never went to the store. I had some Financial issues going on so I called the store and I talked to a lady worked out a deal. I thought everything was fine. Then Sal calls me and is extremely rude. He tells me that I am late on my payment and is asking me for any amount of money that I can send him right then and there. I tried to explain that I worked out a deal with somebody else and he tells me that they have no authority to make any decisions and tries to overrule what they said. He started raising his voice at me and getting extremely confrontational over the phone. He told me he would talk to his higher-ups and get back to me but never called back. Now they still call and harass me and repeatedly trying to take money out of my account when I told them that I would pay on a certain date. Once my furniture is paid off I will never go back to that store again. As long as Sal is in the picture I would not recommend anybody going to that store. This place used to have great customer service but once Sal got into the picture, it’s made this rent a center unbearable. He’s extremely rude, makes ill-mannered comments, has an aggressive tone and manner, and when you’re late on a payment by two days because we forget and don’t mind paying the late fee, they send rent a center to your house or call you and make threats. This negative attitude and energy is a constant thing with this credit manager. We’ve been loyal customers of rent a center since 2015 with us getting items every single year and the way he treats us is not ok. Something needs to be done about this credit manager because he lacks customer service and management skills. Despite the complaints and asking for him not to call us and to have other employees call instead, it seems rent a center does not have any care in the world for their customers or their emotional and mental wellbeing. I have been a customer with rent a center for about 14 yrs Yes I am late but my stuff gets paid I always call and tell the girls I am going to be late and they are ok with it and I love the other employees that' work there but Sal is the rudest person he likes to call and talks to me liked I am 12yrs old I am 61.and likes to threaten me telling me he will come collect my stuff request from corporate after I get off the phone with him I am in tears just the way he talks to you ..After my stuff is paid off I will never or recommend anybody to go to rent a center.
