This place is lovely, the massage was great, however, I did only give it 3 stars.
Let me start off by saying, I KNOW this is a business and businesses need $$. I was very excited for the massage I booked, I thought it was a great deal, and it is! They sent the reminder a day before so I didn't forget, so nice! The day of, I woke up with a fever. I woke up before they even opened, so the MINUTE they opened I called and told them I had a fever and was canceling the appt. In this post COVID world, I figured that was the responsible thing to do; NOT go spreading your germs to other people. The front desk staff (very polite and professional BTW) told me that because I was canceling less than 24 hrs, I would most definitely be charged the $40 cancelation fee. Like previously stated, I understand this is a business, but I would assume there could be exceptions made under certain circumstances. Most places REQUEST that you don't come in if you are not feeling well. I asked if they wanted me to come in anyway, even though I had a fever? I didn't know what to do. They never said DON'T come in, she just said that I would be charged regardless if I had a fever since once she pressed the button the system would automatically charge my card and there was NO WAY to refund me back. Nothing against the girl on the phone, she was just doing her job. She was nice enough to called the manager and told me she would explain the situation to her boss and check if there was anything that could be done. She called me back within minutes and said that they would charge me the $40 but would keep it as a credit, I just had to R/S. I was really looking forward to the massage so I was going to R/S anyway. I ended up going the following week when I was feeling better. The massage experience, the front office staff and the facility were great, I was just kind of annoyed with the process. It seems like many other companies out there, this is very much a profits OVER customer/employees business. You're going to tell me, that in this day and age, there is absolutely ZERO technology available to you, where you have the ability to waive a $40 cancelation fee? For a FEVER? It's not like I N/S, forgot about the appt or was running late, I was quite ill.
Anyway, if you can see into the future and prevent any last minute emergency that stops you from making your appt, or can guarantee you will 100% NOT be sick on the day of, I would recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: i have come here 3x now. I do love their foot massages. They are better than "foot reflexology" as they do actually work on your feet. The last time I came, it was very inconsistent to the first two times. For one, the lady drew a hot water bath - which wasted 15 minutes of the first session. She barely touched my feet. And then finished 10 minutes early. I booked 1 hour toward the ending of the night. So I only got about 25 minutes of actual massage whereas I soaked my feet for the first 5 minutes. I can soak my feet at home, people. The lady masseuse did not want to massage me. I usually tip 50-70% because I'm in such dire straits. I think I gave her only 20% because that's their minimum via credit card.
I've never been offered slippers, whether it's a foot massage or full body massage. I've seen other customers wearing them. I wondered when I would be offered them. For foot massage only, perhaps not so late toward closing, its a good deal as they usually focus only on your feet as they have a chair machine massage doing the work on your back. I rather prefer that because they work on you while doing your back.
Original review: I had a very good experience here.
I loved how they offer a foot massage and legitimately actually work on your feet fascia. Many places, especially "foot reflexology" titled massage places, do NOT work on your feet at all and "work" on it with the guise of a tea bath and soak. Seven Falls actually massages and pushes and pulls on your muscle so that your feet are actually worked on. My poor feet, in all my years of history, cry at the audacity of previous places and the lack of care. I wish this Establishment was around for longer and that I had discovered this place much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I were amazed when we walked into Seven Falls. They did an incredible job with the design and decoration, we felt like we were transported to unique, serene world as soon as we stepped inside. The owner welcomed us and was very kind and appreciative of our visit, even helped us prepare for our massage with their branded spa slippers, which (spoilerā¦) we got to take home!
When the door was opened for us from the lobby into the massage area, we had a pretty good feeling we were in for a treat. This was especially exciting for us as weāve enjoyed massages in many luxurious settings, and there was something very special and inviting about this place.
For me, the massage itself was both relaxing and pain-relieving, which Iāve found isnāt a combination thatās easy to accomplish. The technique was attentive and different, one that I hadnāt experienced before. It felt like a combination of eastern massage techniques that was focused on the instructions I gave my therapist.
My husband said he was surprised with the skill and strength of his therapist, and that they were able to loosen and relax his muscles, which is saying a lot, he works out a lot on top of long days. Even with many of the high-end massages we've gotten, he rarely says the massage was anything other than 'relaxing'.
Without a doubt weāll be visiting regularly here. Until now, we had defaulted to reserving spa treatments for vacations as weāve not found anything remarkable in Southern California since we moved here. Seven Falls has thankfully changed that, weāre really looking forward to some of their more specialized treatments as...
