Boba Bee — Restaurant in Lake Forest

What an amazing spot. I've lived in sf, SD, & next to NYC and been drinking boba forever. This spot serves what foodies would call "craft " boba. Boba had lots of flavor & was perfectly cooked-nice & chewy. Love how it came in it's own nice thick syrup. Quality ingredients. Drinks are beautiful. I love that their menu is thoughtfully created. Top 10 drinks, non dairy & non caffeinated sections. I don't know if their bahn mi snack sandwiches are part of their permanent menu, but man are they sooooo friggin good. The bread is perfection, the meat is Chinese style char siu. Thinly sliced. This is my first time seeing mini bahn mi sandwiches. They were so good that I think they could easily be a trend.

Might have to make this a go to spot when on road trips.

I didn't receive my discount in the boba bee store in lake forest store. I asked for the discount and the person who took my order (Mathew) said I needed to show a code to received the special. No code was mentioned in this advertisement and the person in front of me had just asked for the special discount and received it, not sure if this was a racial thing but overall pretty bad service. So disappointing for me since I regularly go to boba bee and have never been treated this way, hopefully next time will...

Halo Halo is small size. Was not expecting small drink. They left my order in the back for over 10 min. never brought it to the front or called my name until I asked about 20 min. after I placed order. The employee in the front was confused because everyone in the back had disappeared and my drinks were just sitting there melting.
