American Realty — Local services in Lake Jackson

This company is the worst. If I could have warn myself a year ago to not sign a contract with them and be stuck with a lease I totally would have! The worst person to deal with is Lafaye. Totally unprofessional, rude and will complete work orders whenever it's convenient for them. Nancy the manager will put Lafaye as the face of American Realty to avoid confrontation regarding issues with the property your renting. Meanwhile as a tenant your miserable with things not being fixed have to repeat yourself due to the employees not communicating with each other. Anything you need or has to be fixed "YOU" have to figure it out and fix it on your own per their excuses to not lift a finger and help you. There excuse is that its "on your contract and your responsible for it"...I am not one to complain and nitpick about every little thing so please take my warning advice do not sign a lease with this company. Save yourself the grief and anger. One thing is what it says on the contract and another thing is completing a work order whenever the employee feels like it. Furthermore, the fact that this company customer service needs improvement is highly suggested. Y'all are awful how y'all treat people!!!! Was a buyer- Moved to the area from central TX and things are VERY different here. From different septics, to windstorm certification pitfalls, to new FEMA flood maps etc. The different federal, state and local government agencies/ bureaucracies and insurance issues are complicated. Not only with above mentioned details, but also who to work with in the various agencies. I must also mention that I have never worked with an agent that has firsthand historical knowledge of and is familiar with so many properties in an area. We began the process as first time home buyers with Linda Goff and she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with us as we asked a million questions. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Linda had to transfer us to Jennifer DeGreef and the process of switching was totally seamless for us.
