The atmosphere is very traditional and the aroma as you come through the door sets high expectations for the food coming from the kitchen. This is the first Mexican restaurant I have been to that I had to request chips and salsa although everyone who came in after us got them as soon as they sat down. The young lady who brought the chips felt it appropriate to chew her food as she drop our chips at the table. She also felt it acceptable to wear the same oversized latex glove to wipe tables and serve food, those things are disposable for a reason. Our actual server was very short with us, her demeanor was as if we were an inconvenience to her. Our drinks were never refilled and our food took 30 minutes to get to us. The quality and quantity were well worth what we paid. The price was fair. As much as we enjoyed the food we will not be here again due to the ridiculous service. As someone who worked the service industry for a long time it rubs me the wrong way to get service like this, normally we tip 40-50% but this woman didn't deserve the 10 bucks we left her. The two ladies at the counter were very polite and friendly, they should teach the servers how to...

One of the best tasting Mexican food in the area! Good family friendly atmosphere, great prices! Been waiting for this place to come here (original from Angelton). Fajitas are tender and juicy, salsa and chips are so good it is hard to stop eating them. I prefer this place over the overpriced El Torro, or La Casona. Beer is cheap during Happy Hour @ $2.99 a bottle. Been here twice in one week now that I know they are open in Lake Jackson. It's somewhat hidden in the plaza behind Lubys. The only improvement they could make is on the number of waiters. Since they expanded, they have a growing wait staff and are still working out the kinks. Overall great edition to Lake Jackson. Wife and daughter liked everything they tried including: the chile con queso, the quesadillas, and rice and beans. They loved breakfast here too: excellent huevos a la mexicana, chorizo con huevo, and amazing pancakes (move over IHOP). Oh and FYI the Angleton restaurant has the same "regular" customers for years (since food is that good). I hope this place continues to grow and have its own "regulars" here in Lake Jackson for...

First arrived at the restaurant around 8:10 pm and waitress took our drink order. The atmosphere was very dark and it was hard to read the menu. We got our waters 5 min later and she left again for another 5 minutes then came to take our order. Food came out semi fast. I ordered the crispy tacos and the rice was very bland and luke warm. It tasted reheated and old. The charro beans had no flavor at all, and my tacos were dripping with grease (ground beef). The order of tortillas for my wife's dinner was supposed to be flout but the waitress brought out corn tortillas. We waited 40 minutes for her to check on if we needed anything but she only came because I had to stare at the manager, I believe she was a manager, and told her to finally check on us. Highly disappointed and the floor hadn't been swept up and had trash on it. Waitresses were just eating and talking rather than checking on customers. I will not...

I was craving for mexican food, fried beans to be specific. When browsing in google found this spot. I was not sure to come because it has a 3.7. But decided to give it a try. The place is huge, and it has a bar in the middle. I did not try beverages since I was not in the mood. But in a future I will try some cocktail. It was a nice surprise when we received our dishes. They were so pretty and hearty. And the flavors were amazing. I really enjoyed my food, beans tasted exactly how I imagined. The place has the food. The only thing that I think need to improve is that the place doesn’t look very neat, and the reggeton music is not my favorite for lunch.

This restaurant is OKAY. Much better options in the area as far as quality of food. Came here for dinner and it was a busy evening, the server was tending to everyone and she did an excellent job for having so many tables (it did take awhile but we were okay). The cleanliness of the establishment isn’t the best. Food was very mid-tier and if you grew up with a Mexican mom, there’s a likely chance she can make much better food. Tortillas are not homemade, fajita was a little bland. The food was okay-ish though, they have good prices, and good variety of options. Drinks are good but that is the best for this restaurant. Will probably not come back.

I love this place!! Best chips EVER!! The staff is super friendly and nice (can sometimes be alittle slow but it's totally cool!) The lengua tacos are sooo good! And the coffee is amazing! (And they'll make you a fresh pot if you ask for it) The enchiladas and crispy tacos are really good too! And the crawfish/crab boil platters are AMAZEBALLS!!
