Target has gone down in quality, which is very disappointing cause shopping at target used to be one of my favorite things. After the experience I had tonight, I will not be coming back. I came in on a Saturday night, March 8th. They closed all the self check out registers, no one could check out. I had to wait in line. I got in line around 9:40. They only had 2 baggers working for the entire freaking store. I couldn’t believe it. You won’t allow people to self check out and you go and only put two workers on the registers? All the other workers just stood around. I waited in line and managed to check out. I spent $618.36 and I was finally able to check out at 10:06 pm. I know because I have the time stamp on my Apple wallet, which I’ll be posting a screenshot of as proof. Anyways, at 10:06 pm, my handicapped mother had to pee badly. She quickly went in and came back out at 10.08. It was during this time that I was harassed by a grossly unprofessional employee. I understand not being happy with your job, but this was just ridiculous. She barked at me across the room as she made her way over to me. “Ma’am we’re closed!” I told her, “yes I know! I’m leaving as soon as my mom comes out!” She didn’t accept my answer. Instead she continued to waddle over to me and yell, “WERE CLOSED.” Exasperated, I told her, “my mom is handicapped and is using the bathroom. I can leave as soon as she comes out.” The employee proceeded to roll her eyes and huff n puff as she stormed away. I couldn’t believe the blatant aggression. My Mom was angry at being treated this way, we had to pass by the employee on the way out as they only allowed customers to exist through one door. My Mom told her, “I just spent over 600 dollars in your store, I don’t appreciate being treated this way when I simply use the bathroom.” The woman aggressively yelled, “we’re closed.” So I told her, “it’s not our fault that we’re still in here. You closed all the self check out registers on a Saturday night and forced us to wait in a huge line with only 2 workers checking people out. I wasn’t able to check out until 10.06.” The employee didn’t care. I had half a mind to return all my items because of her. But I just decided to leave and never return. To behave this way is unacceptable. You lose all credibility and professionalism when you become hostile with customers. Especially when it’s not my fault I’m still in the store, maybe you shouldn’t have shut down the self check out machines or you should have opened more registers, ESPECIALLY ON A...
Read moreThis is the worst Target in the total DMV area. Hands down.
You are literally walking on TRASH when you walk in and out of the store. See pics. It is always like that. It's like the person who empties the trash can outside the entrance just takes the bag and dump it upside down instead of disposing of it.
Whoever the Store Manager is should be taken back to the basics.
Inventory levels are not monitored. You'll see large gaps on shelves, particularly in the food market. It's nothing to see half of the potato chip or bottled water shelves completely empty. If you can chase an employee down and beg them to look up an item, IF they go to look for you, 9X out of 10 the item is in the back. How this store is profitable is a mystery.
Customer service is almost non-existent. You have people who will walk by you and not ask if you need help when it's clear you're looking for something. I actually went to this little contraption they have marked for customers needing help. Through it, you're supposed to be able to call help to your location.
I waited 30 minutes. No one came. I even tried to ask employees walking by. Nothing. They told me they were shoppers for online orders. They made it seem like they didn't work for the store and they worked for a 3rd party entity.
It really is a sad, sad place. The only upside to this store is the location. It's right off I-95 not a mile from Potomac Mills Mall.
However, if you can, I would recommend going further south up the interstate to the Target in Stafford. That Target is much cleaner, the inventory manager actually does their job, and the folks there want to help you. It's a night and day difference between the two stores and totally worth the...
Read moreRemodel has ruined the store I loved. I really wanted to love this remodel. I continued to shop at and support Target through the months and months of confusing mess hoping the end result would be worth it. However the long, clean, wide aisles are replaced with a confusing maze of really messy corridors. The young girl's clothing is smaller, features less choice of quality brands like Cat and Jack, and looks like a disaster area. The shoe department which wasn't great to begin with is worse - just boxes of unorganized stuff. The children's toy area is woefully under stocked and always looks like a hurricane has swept through it. I won't even go in the section - what a missed opportunity since Toys R Us closed! Women's clothing features prominently across the front of the store and it seems that Target has redesigned its look to be more like a department store but with low quality clothing. Though staff can be seen working all over the store, they seem to be unable to keep the store neat. It's unfortunate because the service remains very high with friendly checkers and easy refunds. Unfortunately, I won't need them because I won't be shopping there anymore. I've tried shopping at Target about a dozen times over the holidays and after, each time leaving with nothing! What a total bummer to lose a...
