Chicago Waffles Lincoln Square — Restaurant in Lake View Township

In my opinion, I loved how this place was decorated and the vibes and music were nice! the food was good! I had the Healthy Skillet and Waffle Flight! My boyfriend had the Short Rib Skillet, he said it was alright not spectacular. The service was TRASH! I expressed it was my first time. I knew what I wanted to order before she came to take our order but as my boyfriend is ordering I saw the waffle sandwiches so I paused to ask her questions, she seemed annoyed. The man pouring water gave us better service. I asked another lady who was cleaning tables for hot sauce and she turned to the host and the host looked annoyed too. YOUR JOB IN RESTAURANTS IS TO SERVICE THE CUSTOMERS! Why are you annoyed because you have to get up from the chair at the bar to service US. 🧐 We got the check and waited a while to pay. I had to go to the bar to pay. The crazy thing is, When we got there, it was busy but died out so I don’t know why no one checked on our table enough. I always TIP! But today I said nope. My boyfriend was surprised because it’s not like me but I literally felt unwanted when she looked bothered while taking my order, when asked for hot sauce and napkins …. All I’m saying is The first impression is everything . I hope Oak Park location isn’t like this because I did enjoy the food but not the service! Bill was $99.13. We had a latte with oat milk and caramel 😋 My boyfriend had a Long Island, he said it was TOO sweet with little liquor.

And when I gave the receipt, the lady who took our order rolled her eyes and passed it to her coworker with an attitude saying something but I couldn’t hear. All while I’m standing there. Girl ask yourself why there wasn’t a tip before being pressed...

The menu is impressive. There are so many choices, and there is definitely something for everyone here. Waffles, pancakes, omelets, skillets, sandwiches, burgers,salads, and more!

Their Waffle Benedict Trio is a true Lumberjack meal. This is both breakfast and lunch combined.

The waitress warned me that this was a lot of food and she was right!

My family and I ordered take out from here it was our first time trying this place. I ordered the waffle flight which came with a variety of waffles red velvet, chocolate, liege and green tea. I really love how they offered this on the menu so you can try one of each to see what you like more. I also am a huge fan of eggs benedict and wanted to see if they place had good ones. I tried the florentino and it didn't disappoint. Very flavorful along with the potatoes. If anything, I wasn't a huge fan of the ice matcha latte as it didn't really taste like authentic matcha. But it was okay, I personally wouldn't get it again. Otherwise my family loved the skillets that they ordered! I will come here again in person with a friend instead of doing take out!
