VP Salon organic — Local services in Lake View Township

Hello everyone! As a local guide I'm obligated to share my quality finds and finally I'm taking time tonight to thank Raul for his attentive care ❤ and attention to detail last week on Sunday during the Lakeview food festival.

My hair is a very bizarre mix of frizzy, wavy and curly and I haven't been very happy with my haircuts for a very long time because people just don't understood what type of haircut I need. I'm the first to admit I lack patience and get discouraged when a stylist makes a mistake in judgement. Usually I have to make some slight adjustments to the haircut to fix it up a bit.

Last week I walked into this salon very upset and dying to have Raul cut ✂️ my hair for me. He made a special appointment just to accommodate outside of his normal hours of operation and he looked through my hair carefully before deciding what needed to be done.

He shampooed me, looked at my hair wet and masterfully and patiently gave me rounded, concave layers so my hair would curl and have some body. He even twisted some of my hair up and cut the center at the very top a certain way to thin out some of the bulk so my haircut would lay beautifully.

After the wet cut he used a diffuser on my hair and some styling product to see how my curls lay once dried and again he took his shears and made a few final touches.

I left with my hair looking and feeling silky, shiny and full of life and body. I've been getting compliments this week from strangers and just two days ago a young lady asked me where I got my haircut-- no joke, she even asked me if I used a heat instrument to bring out the curls and I assured her it was all my natural curl pattern.

honestly can’t say enough good things about this salon. The staff is incredible — so kind, funny, and genuinely loving. Every time I walk in, it’s nothing but good energy, laughter, and great conversations.

Luda is an absolute gem. She’s so easy to talk to, incredibly warm, and unbelievably skilled. I can tell her what I’m thinking, and she knows exactly how to make it happen. In all my years of getting my hair done, I’ve never met anyone like her. Truthfully, half the reason I didn’t want to move apartments was because I didn’t want to find a different salon. Luda works faster than anyone ever has on my hair, yet somehow better than anyone else ever has. I’m so grateful to have found her.

And Raul — what a character. Hilarious, talented, and beloved by everyone who walks through the door. You’ll hear customers raving about him, with one even saying, “He truly saved my life.” He has me cracking up every time I come there.

I first came to Raul in July a few months after my hair had been fried (over processed with bleach) by another stylist. He highlighted my hair with color instead of bleach, which is much less damaging, to give my hair a rest. He had to cut my hair a little short, but he gave me the cutest style. I just went back for my second visit, and he brought my hair back to blonde and it looks amazing! My hair is almost back to normal. Raul did a great job on both cut and color, and he’s so fun!
