I made an appt with Jenny the manager of the salon for today (12/06/2023) for 2:30pm for a nexgen (aka dip). I selected a color from their new selection of nexgen and/or dip colors which should be noted is at a lower price point than acrylic. Once my nails were drilled down and soaked off with acetone I was then informed by Jenny (the manager) that the color I selected from the nexgen/dip 'book' could only be applied like acrylic, which would then be an up charge. I reluctantly agreed, obviously being confused by the false advertisement and incorrect display, which Jenny acknowledged when I questioned her. She proceeded to do my nails and approximately at 3:10pm her next client walked in who was apparently scheduled for 3:15pm. The client observed that Jenny was no where near completion of my nails, and suggested that it might be best to reschedule due to time restraints and her needing to leave by 4pm. Jenny told the client she would be able to see them as scheduled and get them out on time for their next appt. Jenny then began to do my nails very hastily and sloppy. I brought to her attention that one of nails was crooked and another nail was missing acrylic on it exposing the corner tip of my natural nail, she then became very agitated. I then suggested that she takes the next client because I know she has somewhere to be and I have no problem waiting for her to fix these mistakes. The client ended up leaving opting to reschedule, Jenny then told me she will have BJ her husband do my nails from now on. (I was previously going to her husband BJ but stopped because on two separate occasions I had an appt with him and was told once I arrived that he would not be in or was unavailable despite having an appt. I understand that things come up or emergencies happen but it would of been nice If they would of notified me so I could of saved myself the 40 min drive from Palm Beach Gardens.) I felt very discarded and disrespected in that moment. When paying for a service especially a very pricey service such as nails I should not have to settle for anything less than perfect. She then began to try to give me excuses and lie and said that I came in early and that she was working on me for more than an hour. After reading over the numerous complaints and 1 star ratings this seems to be a pattern and I'm sure Jenny will review the store cameras and clock and see that I came exactly on time and not a moment later and that she actually had to be retrieved from the back while on the phone to do my nails. After some back and forth between myself and Jenny I opted she soak my nails off because I absolutely refuse to give my hard earned money to an establishment that treats its paying customers with no respect or consideration. I strongly suggest if you are reading this review save your time and money and go to Dila Nails in Boynton Beach the reviews speak for themselves!!!!
In response to Jenny's (the manager) comments:
Jenny if their were any statements I made that were false or inaccurate you would most certainly make it known based upon your previous responses with the numerous and exponential other disgruntled clients. Also, you did not "choose" to soak of my nails I DEMANDED such be done. By no means was I going to give my money to a business that disrespects paying clients and has the nerve to get agitated when asking for the job to be done correctly!!! The fact that you and your establishment have the same complaints from multiple people on different platforms speaks for itself. Jenny is the problem ALL of us or is the problem YOU and/or Oxygenix nails...

My recent visit to Oxygenix left me with mixed feelings and a sense of disappointment that went beyond just a rushed payment incident. While I had initially heard positive reviews about the salon, my experience took a turn that left me questioning the establishment's commitment to fair and respectful treatment of all customers.
During my nail service, I was taken aback when the receptionist interrupted my treatment to insist on immediate payment. Despite politely requesting to wait until my service was complete, the receptionist's refusal, accompanied by an attitude and an eye roll, was both unprofessional and disrespectful. What struck me most was that this treatment seemed unusually harsh compared to the apparent consideration given to other customers.
This incident raised concerns about the possibility of discriminatory behavior. I couldn't help but wonder whether the rushed and dismissive treatment I received was influenced by factors beyond standard customer service issues. As someone who has never experienced such treatment at other establishments, it was disappointing and left a lasting negative impression.
Furthermore, I decided not to complete my service (no nail polish) and being charged the full price for an incomplete service only added to my dismay. I asked the manager if I could pay for the pedicure without the added cost of the nail polish and she rudely stated “no”.
It is my sincere hope that Oxygenix reevaluates its customer service practices to ensure that all patrons are treated fairly and respectfully, irrespective of any potential differences. Discrimination has no place in a professional setting, and addressing these concerns is crucial for fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment...
Read moreI called before I went twice to ask for price of how much a full set with dip would be & tips....they were unable to tell me an exact price. Which is why I had to call back a second time. The woman who answered the phone the first time said “it starts at $40 and goes up from there.” I said oh okay.. and we hung up. I thought about it more and I realized I really should know exactly how much it is. I know exactly what I want and I just want to know exactly how much it is for a new full set of tips with dip. One color. Not a crazy request. So I called back and said what I needed again clearly and I asked what would vary in price? She stated “shaping” and “length” I said okay. Long story short I got charged $45...so it’s $45. My friend had actually called before me to make the appointment for us so we could get our nails done together.....when we got there she was seen immediately, I waited for 20 minutes.... and was not aloud to sit next to my friend when I got my nails done :) so the entire reason we both drove a half hour to see each other and hangout...they didn’t want to let us sit next to each other. So obviously we were annoyed. They basically schedule us as they’re closing literally like I’m just getting my tips on and the receptionist is asking me for payment... so I can hear how much they’re charging my friend and they charged her $65 ...It just seemed like they were Pulling prices...
