I had a dream that I went to Bed & Breakfast named the Mango Inn in Lake Worth, Florida.

It was so magical and so beautiful.

The suite had a living room with Netflix, Amazon Prime and drawer full of movies.

Full kitchen and patio outside. The bed was king size with beautiful soft and hard pillows. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub and glass enclosure shower. Only thing wish it had grab bars in shower and whirlpool pool tub.

The pool was a few steps away surrounded by palm trees and the lobby in the main building and had snacks for free. Cold soda and water, pretzels, chips and candy jar all free.

The breakfast was superb with spinach and cheese quiche. Fresh fruit; kiwi, tangerines and apples. Coffee and Tea and yogurt, chocolate muffins, English muffins and choice of juice.

The Owners Chet and his wife are the owners which they bought 10 years ago.

The Mango Inn, located in Lake Worth, Florida, is a historic bed and breakfast built in 1915. It's considered one of the oldest homes in Lake Worth and has a fascinating history, including its transformation from a crack house to a vibrant B&B.

Here's a more detailed look: Google AI

Early History: The Mango Inn was built in 1915 and was once the home of a former Lake Worth Mayor. Transformation: In the late 1990s, the building was a crack house with significant city code violations. Rebirth as a B&B: In the late 1990s, Erin and Bo purchased the property and transformed it into the Mango Inn, a bed and breakfast that opened during Christmas week of 1996. Community Impact: The inn is credited with contributing to the revitalization of downtown Lake Worth, with Erin and Bo playing active roles in the community's development. Unique Features: The Mango Inn features a spacious living room with a photo album detailing its history, and it's known for its welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy meals, drinks, and conversation Rebirth as a B&B: In the late 1990s, Erin and Bo purchased the property and transformed it into the Mango Inn, a bed and breakfast that opened during Christmas week of 1996. Booked an evening online through another site and wasn’t told about any exclusionary policies. It was the night after our wedding. Our babysitter fell through at the last minute and we ended up bringing our kid with us. Zero issues, he’s a chill kiddo, and was asleep when we arrived. Slept all night, no problems. The next morning we left immediately. I was in my wedding dress, and we went to pack up the car and leave. The owner came bursting out of the breakfast area and berated me for having a child as apparently kids aren’t allowed. We weren’t trying to even get breakfast here- we were just trying to leave!

I tried to apologize, saying we had no idea, so sorry, and hey we’re leaving right now anyway, but the owner shook his fingers in my face and cut me off, yelling that the info was on his website and implying that I was stupid for not checking to begin with.

I spent the entire morning after my wedding in tears because an extremely angry man raged at me and my child as we were trying to leave. I’m disabled, and it was just me and my child, with a man raging at us. I was terrified, and didn’t feel safe crossing the courtyard ti try and find my husband who was still in the room. I ran to our car with my kid, genuinely afraid that this angry man would come and berate us more.

I understand that kids were not allowed, and that’s their policy. It’s entirely my fault for not knowing about this. However, the abusive manner in which that information was related to me is entirely unacceptable. The rage with which we were screamed at! Be careful staying here. The level of fear the owner’s behavior inflicted is horrifying and abusive. I was genuinely terrified for my safety and the safety of my family. Please be careful stating here.

I’m updating my review given the response in which the management and/or owner(s) have stated that they remember having a pleasant conversation in the court yard, where I introduced them to my baby.

My name here is a pseudonym for a character from a tv show and has been My stay was not recent. I didn’t have a baby- my child is significantly older. It’s entirely possible the man who yelled at us was not actually the owner. I should not have that assumption.

Final takeaway: Please be aware that this BnB has rules that aren’t always mentioned on independant booking sites and that violating those rules may put you at...

To begin with when we arrived at the front door, we entered the code that the owners sent to us to access into the main house. It did not work. So we rang the doorbell. One of the owners answered on a speaker at the front door and we advised him that we were checking in. He replies with an attitude “didn’t you get the code”. We said yes, but it didn’t work. Immediately the other owner opens the front door in order to remedy the situation. He walked us through the main living area which had a table with low end snacks and water bottles. Our room was super small. There was zero room to move around in. The linens on the bed were paper thin and the soap and toiletries in the bathroom were also very low end, the shower head pointed in a diagonal position and you could not move it. We had a party to attend that evening. Both me and my boyfriend washed our hair. He was using the blow dryer the bathroom and I was using a blow dryer in the room. The a fuse blew. We advised the owners and also advised them that we were pressed for time due to the fact, that the party we were attending was in Miami. One of them owners acted on the matter, however, could not find the fuse box. Finally, he found it in the kitchen. The room air conditioner also did not work properly which we advised the owner of. He came to our room to see what the issue with the AC was and he said “it’s on energy saving”. He took it off the energy saving mode. However, when we returned fro the party 5 hours later. The room was just as warm as before. The next morning I went to the living area where the owners has their breakfast set up. It consisted of cold and hot cereal, store bought English muffins. Some mini muffins and a few pieces of bread. I asked the owner that was there at the time if the muffins were fresh. He proceeded to to get very belligerent and yelling at me saying “of course there fresh and do you know what an English muffin is” the the other owner appears and tells him to stop it. The belligerent owner then tells him that “I have a attitude” . After the two of them were finished arguing, he asked me to leave. Which gladly did. Please take my advice and do not stay here. It is the worst place and experience I have had while staying in any hotel, bread...

A quaint inn. Our stay was in the Pineapple suite for 2 nights. For the price it was nice. Small things could have made it better. It definitely has a queen bed. Take mosquito repellent if you’re susceptible to bites. We got stung even in the room. The continental breakfast left more to be desired. The pool area was nice but we did not take advantage of. A resident raccoon scared the life out of me in the middle of the afternoon as he was eating the ripe mangoes that had fallen on the ground. If you go, download the Circuit app, it’s a ride service that will take you around town for $1 pp per ride. We used it to get downtown. The inn’s location was great for the 4th of July festivities.
