I came here the very first months of there original opening and became a regular. Honesty is all I'll give here. You WILL FREEZE HERE. I go to both the Lake worth and Boynton bch Loc's. You WILL freeze. Bring a winter coat. They raised ALL prices again! thank god for other options around town, I no longer frequent them as much anymore, Too costly. The points system for us regulars is honestly a joke. (20) points needed for a free beverage....aka: flavored water drinks (wateR)... lets be honest here. lol) to get 20 points however... you will have to spend anywhere from $70 -$80. (bcuz every $3 = 1 point) [for now, they'll probably make that more difficult as well] LOL, i'm sorry, but thats not a loyalty program to frequent customers whom help pay Common Grounds bills. Better off with Starbucks loyalty program. The food? once again...pricey for what it really is. Pay the extra couple dollars and just go to the nearest sub/sandwich/Diner place and get your true monies worth & BETTER QUALITY. Now, for the coffee beans.... they do use and have good beans... good quality. ATMOSPHERE...BCUZ its ridiculously cold....i gave that star rating. SERVICE..... Is fine, aside from the long haired gentleman whom literally has taken orders hunched over the counter with one elbow on the counter and his head resting in the palm of his hand and the other hand punching away at the screen. I wish I had a picture. talk about not giving a S*@^. This place when it opened started off strong. I was a huge supporter. They got the tremendous support from the Local community which helped it to even branch out. However, those same people have now had to suffer the price gauging raises many times in the short years of its inception. In Los Angeles, my local cafe gave free coffees for every 10 you bought. TEN!!! Here you will get a ''thank you reward'' after MORE than double that amount. This place needs competition to make it...
Read moreABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I love this coffee shop. I have lived around the corner for a few years now, and I have just started to make this shop my go-to for weekend coffee.
They are a dog-friendly shop! I walk my doodles in there when I have my coffee. They have great drink options, and even offer some delicious breakfast/lunch on the menu. They are also vegan-friendly. For a drink, I highly suggest an Iced Lavender Oat Milk Latte, but honestly, everything I try here is great. All of the bakery items are delicious - vegan items included. I adore the cinnamon buns and almond croissants.
The consistency of the drinks and service are second-to-none. This weekend there is a huge festival in town and the line to the shop was out the door when I arrived (which is not normal). I only waited 5 minutes before I was back out the door with my drink and pastry.
The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Even with the emergence of new coffee shops in the immediate area, and Starbucks being just across Dixie Highway, Common Grounds is a Lake Worth Beach 'MUST SEE', to discover it will be your new...
Read moreWhen I first entered here i thought right away this could be my go-to coffee place, i loved the interior. I still do. It has an old and relaxed feel to it which is what I like. The prices are somewhat steep for the location but I understand everyone has bills to pay. I ordered a double espresso and a pastry. Barista used a mustache spout and as he turned around for a moment, half of the crema went to waste next to the cup. This wasn't even the cup i got, he then poured the espresso into another cup, essentially removing most of the crema. It totally defeated the purpose of ordering espresso. However, it did taste good. The pastry was alright. When it's ready they shout the order out loud and you come to counter to pick it up. None of the workers check tables for dirty cups or plates, there's no table service whatsoever. Maybe i came in at the wrong moment, but the music was solemn. For good 7 minutes it was some very quiet instrumental followed by Lana del Rey. There are much better lounge music options that are relaxing but not depressing, for example Thievery corporation or Morcheeba....
