Update Summary 12.21.24 Pros: -Fast… Ordered to go and it was ready within 15 minutes. -fresh salad (fresh vegetables. The one qualm was that the pepperoncini looked like the last one in the jar that everyone avoids.) -entree portion size (I was satiated w/leftover) -pasta cooked perfect -tasty “gravy” tomato sauce 🥫 -Granny pizza - I recommend ordering a fresh pie. I had a slice and it was delicious even though it was rewarmed. I could see how the fresh made pizza pie would 🤯🤤
Con: The eggplant portion of the Eggplant Entree. All of the other ingredients were superb in taste and temperature. The breaded eggplant was lukewarm and a bit charred on the outer edge. ———————————————————- Yum 😋 this hit the spot! I’m starting this review by stating that my favorite Italian restaurant is still Odyssey Italian Restaurant in Denver, Colorado. It is a family owned and operated slightly upscale establishment yet it still maintains a down to earth vibe and is located inside of house renovated to be a restaurant. The atmosphere gives dress up and bring a date for a candlelit intimate platonic/romantic Okay back to this review… so how did I get in the situation of trying out Brick Oven? Well I visited to meet a friend at the Lake Worth Beach Night Market Beach Bonfire event. After I decided to drive to the heart of downtown and try some food before traveling back. This place showed up as being open late and with good reviews. Brick Oven Pizza is located off Lake Street in the part of town that is lively with a live band and holiday celebrations tonight. The vibe for this restaurant is a late night grab a slice before or after downtown bar hopping. The sauce was delicious the cheese yum! The granny slice was a first time yum 😋… my new favorite pizza style. The cheese went all the way to the edge! Love it! I’m notorious for leaving “pizza bones”. Behind.. this time there were non to be found. The side salad was fresh and crisp. The garlic not were warm and garlicky with real garlic minced atop a buttery bun. The Eggplant Rollantini had delicious cheese and sauce. What would enhance this dish is if the eggplant was breaded and prepared fresh. The temperature of the eggplant was lukewarm and the sauce and cheese which were perfect temperature. I would order the granny...
Read moreI've known about this place for a while and wanted to give it a try. My wife and l went today for lunch. Walked in, place was dead. Granted it was 3: 00pm on a Tuesday, but staff was lounging in almost all the seating area and l found it unprofessional. But, they quickly dispersed as we entered and decided to sit down for lunch. Waitress came over and brought one menu, told us more menus were on the salt and pepper condiment holder. Menu was colorful but somewhat confusing to understand. As the waitresses found her cell phone was more entertaining than taking our order. I got up and told her she can put in a 14-in cheese pie. Food took a while and came out a bit overcooked, oily and somewhat crunchy. We're not the type to complain, but our waitress was again too busy with her cell phone to find out if we needed any refills on our beverages, I even had to get up again and ask her for the check. Place could use a little reconditioning, dining room is extremely dated and in minimal disrepair. Would have liked staff to be a little more friendly and attentive, but again it was a Tuesday afternoon in the middle of the day. So, maybe they cheer up when the Sun goes down. Who knows. Paid cash and left more than a fair tip. Was hoping for a better experience and better food. You live and learn... Had the waitress been a little more attentive, and the pizza not be overcooked and oily. This place might have earned three stars tops... Hoping you the reader have a...
Read moreLast night I called at midnight for a delivery. Last night was 6/17/22. Prior to this, I had called a pizza place a few doors down from this establishment and I was treated rudely and unprofessionally. So I called Brick Oven. I've never tried this place before but was blown away by their customer service from the moment they answered my call. The receipt I have says it was Erin. She was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. She's also a great salesperson! When she asked if there was anything else I needed I mentioned that I was considering adding a Philly Cheese. She excitedly told me that she herself had one for lunch and does so often. I added it on and she was right! It was a very good sandwich. In fact all of the food we ordered was delicious. The food arrived quickly. The delivery driver, Lenny, was very polite and went above and beyond expectations. He asked if we have a take out menu, I mentioned that we didn't. He said Give me just a moment and quickly returned with two delivery menu's. Mind you we were on the 2nd floor but he had no problem hustling down and then back up to make sure we had our menus. The food was wonderful, the service was friendly and professional, and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to dining inside in the future and will definitely order delivery again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys Brick Oven pizza that tastes great and is prepared by a friendly and...
