I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lake Zurich Jewelers, and about Juan and his son in particular. After the sudden passing of our beloved mother, my sister and I wanted to create two identical custom pendants to honor her memory in a truly special way. We brought them a vision — and some of Mom’s most treasured jewelry — and they brought it to life with incredible care, skill, and compassion.

They listened so openly to our ideas, welcoming even our little sketches, and transformed them into a stunning, meaningful design. They incorporated her emeralds, sapphires, and her signature red ruby hearts, along with her wedding band — the very one that represented 42 beautiful years of marriage to our dad. They eagerly refined her wedding band to create a delicate forget-me-not flower, which rests next to this dragonfly that has become the symbol of our mom's remembrance.

This pendant is more than just jewelry; it’s a piece of her that we can carry with us, a lasting reminder of her beauty, her spirit, and the love she gave so generously. Juan and his son worked swiftly on this very custom piece, having it ready in a very short window of time. We are deeply grateful.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Lake Zurich Jewelers! All of the owners are a pleasure to work with, but my family and I mainly worked with Juan Jr. He is the BEST, and here’s why we would highly recommend the Lake Zurich Jewelers: Juan stayed within our budget the entire process, and even tried to keep it below my high end while shopping for an engagement ring! When it came to the 4 C’s, he was super transparent about how compensating on one C will effect the center stone and gave solid suggestions on which ones we might want to consider lowering first Juan can custom make any designs you are looking for! You can bring in your Pinterest boards or other pictures online, and he’s able to make your design with great attention to detail and quality

Bottom line, you can go to a brand name jeweler and pay for the brand, and feel like you’re walking through a revolving door, or work with the Lake Zurich Jewelers and know you’ll be taken great care of! The quality of their work is amazing. In addition, Juan continuously checked in during the entire process to ensure this is something I was going to love by the time we were finished, and our ring definitely is!

My husband wanted to surprise me for our anniversary by having my engagement ring repaired and resized. Unfortunately, his good intentions were blown to hell by an uncaring staff and poor quality work.

When my husband brought my ring home, we were both horrified. The band was totally destroyed. It actually looked like someone crushed it between their fingers. The replacement stones in the setting looked dull and cheap with several obvious blemishes.

When we called to complain, the man on the phone was uncaring and sarcastic. He blamed his own lack of skill on ME saying I had not taken proper care of the ring. He said that was the best that could be done. So not only is this place inept, they are also dishonest. I brought my ring to another jeweler who is currently in the process of fixing what LZ did to it. Needless to say, LZ Jewelers refused to refund our money.
