Craving Gyros — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

came for a pick up order, 3rd time coming here, was told 15 minutes and it should be all set. Showed up with around 5 mins to spare and sat down. 20 additional min goes by. Then 20 more. At this point I’m frustrated and the cashier tells me that apparently they gave my food to the wrong guy? And then they CALLED HIM AND TOLD HIM TO JUST COME BACK WITH IT?

I was so close to leaving then about 15 mins later the guy comes back in with the food, about an hour after I had originally came in. This is so ridiculous on so many levels. Giving the wrong food to someone is an understandable mistake. But then asking this poor dude to drive back to the store so you don’t need to remake it? And then expecting a customer to eat food that’s been who knows where? Not to mention soggy and cold from being driven around town. I had a hungry kid with me so I had no choice but to take it and go. Though it wasn’t offered I did get a refund after I asked for it. And they were nice enough to give me a hot dog for the kid after I asked for something to give him.

I also found it funny that while I was waiting, 2 separate people came in and complained about either food missing from an order or getting the wrong food entirely.

Definitely not coming back to this place. Horrible mismanagement. In today’s day and age of the absurd cost to eating out it’s just absolutely not worth it to go somewhere that can’t even get basic burger and fry orders correct.

Came in for the first time today, pretty good burger. There was a wait of about 15+ mins which is understandable. However they forgot to include one of the orders of fried that I paid for. Unfortunately I didn't notice til I got home...

Definitely surpassed my expectations! I've been to countless gyro/sausage places in Chicago and this place was a cut above. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich and my wife got the Tilapia sandwich-- both were extremely well done, which is uncommon for these type of restaurants (which usually only do the staples well). Our sandwiches were absolutely delicious and if you told me my Po Boy was from New Orleans, I'd believe it! The bread, fish, and toppings were so fresh and cooked perfectly! The workers were polite-- I told them they forgot to give me a cup for my drink and they didn't moan or anything negative. It was very clean in there and menu wasn't confusing- plenty of choices on there without being overwhelming. They have a fill-your-own-pop machine which I love too. Thought and pride was put into this place and didn't feel ordinary. Plenty of seating in there. I'll definitely be back here next time I got up to Lake Zurich, no doubt. Keep up...

This place USED to be a go to staple in Lake Zurich.. they have new ownership now and to be honest I'm very very unhappy with the place.. last 5 times we ordered the food was not what it use to be..the quality has gone down and I'm pretty sure prices has gone up. The last time we went there will be the LAST I order a few hotdogs, salad and a gyro. I'm not sure how you can screw up a salad but the lettuce was old with no crunch.. very little olives and feta.. the hotdogs were completely unedible.. they tasted like mush and the chili tasted like dog food. What happened to this place!! Also the gyro meat was very dry.. I'm very dissatisfied.. not only the food was terrible but the customer service is poor as well. The old owners were always so nice and smiled and always wondering how my family is doing. These new owners seem to be dry and straight to business. It's very unfortunate this place USE to be a gold mine...
